Per the published specs it has 22 degrees mechanical advance. Vacuum advance is adjustable with a 3mm Allen wrench.I backed my 403 to around 10 vacuum and set timing at 22degrees at 1100 rpm (no vacuum) and it’s running great.If you do not tame the vacuum advance via adjustment or a stop plate, you’ll have way too much overall advance. It’s not a Chevy.

When it showed up the vacuum advance port was bentAnd the distributor cap is crackedI used my old capUsed it anywayNow my motor is all f%$#ed upI should have sent it back when it arrived but I already waited long enough so I chanced the new one

loved it and easy to install. make sure you have compatible plug wires as old style wont work. Also make sure your timing isn't 180 deg off - makes it pretty hard to start :)

Used this to replace my Mallory points type distributor on my 1976 Taylor Jet boat. Wow, what a difference. Starts faster, runs smoother and picked up significant power.

I got sick of buying the $50 distributors on eBay which worked great for me for 1 year and 9 months, both of them, very low mileage during this time. I never diagnosed what failed on those but I suspect it was the control module. After doing much research I found that many people recommended this brand for most bang for your buck. I just don't like getting stranded with no spark and hopefully bought more time and reliability with this one. Amazon was the cheapest place I could find to buy this. It was for my 1979 Oldsmobile toronado with a 350. Looks great, just like picture and ofcoarse easy to install with a timing light.
