The vinyl of my old hose was brittle and ripping from years of use. So this provided the essential part (the hose), but the new exhaust adapter ripped out during installation, and it doesn't come with a round connector to hook to the AC unit so I had to reuse my old one. I spent 40 minutes trying to rotate the spiral wire of the hose into the connectors and finally just used duct tape on both ends. The original window slide plate from the unit was still fine so I didn't use the new one. It's so hot I just need it to be functional.

All connections work well with my LG portable AC unit. Easy to replace old hose. Window pieces were about 3/4" shorter in height than old piece but that didn't make any difference at all.

This item arrived quite fast, was packaged good and contained all the pieces. The materials are of a strong plastic that feels sturdy and reliable so should last quite long with sensible care. No instructions come with it, but luckily I thought to check out it's images on here, which were all I needed to figure it out. All-in-all, its well worth buying and is exactly as advertised, BUT.... you will still need a way to fasten the window panels to your window frame (I used an inexpensive metal L bracket I just happened to have on hand) and this entire set would be vastly better and utterly complete if it included a (removable) coupler/connector attached to the other end of the exhaust hose to connect to the portable A/C unit in case you needed one, so one could replace all such parts in ONE EASY ORDER!! (Hint, Hint To Sellers :)

It was what I needed, the new window attachment is great, hose was better than the one my unit came with!You NEED to keep your old unit hose connector piece!
