I was excited by the way the rivet gun torqued 1/8” rivets, but the excitement quickly became disappointment when I attempted to torque the 3/16” rivets with a fully charged battery and it only torqued the rivet half way. Not happy considering I only bought the item to keep from torquing the 3/16” rivets by hand and I’m having to do it by hand anyway.

So far this is a great rivet gun. I bought it to do repairs on my bus. So far I have installed 1000 rivets with it with no problems. Make sure to use the tip that is marked for the rivets you are using. It may seem a little loose but I tried it with the tip that the rivets fit tightly and the would not eject them.

The reason I bought an electric rivet gun was my hand rivet gun was difficult to do stainless rivets but it worked. This electric gun will work fine on aluminum but not at all on stainless. Very disappointing!

I wish it came with the battery and charger. It does not even tell you what size battery. Hopefully I ordered the correct one.

Almost worth 5 stars, in fact the only reason I didn't give 5 is that is reserved for "perfect."This thing saved my hands though. I'm on/near my 300th rivet, the first 30 of which were done with a hand rivet tool. Much of what I'm doing requires a hand to hold the pieces, which was near impossible. With this tool it's not a problem. The only thing I think could improve this would be having a way to retain the rivet until set. As it is, you either load a rivet or insert a rivet in it's hole, then use the tool. If you load a rivet in the tool, it will fall out if you try to use it pointing anywhere downward.Otherwise, it's great.
