This tool is great!. Much better than the bigger tool and much easier to use in tight spaces. I use this to mount/ install my van shelving in my cargo Van's. Perfect tool for the application. A must tool for those needing to put a bolt in but have now way of installing a nut behind the work area. I only wish the correct size bolts and lock washers were included. That would've been awesome

Works well. I really like the organizational case that it came it. It helps to keep everything together for the multiple jobs ive use this on.It works really well for this price point I thought it would feel cheap and break after the first couple uses, but its been amazing. Its really straight forward and easy to use even for a beginner that isnt familiar with how these work. I use this almost daily in my shop and on my project cars.

I've installed many Nutserts but never used a tool like this. I've used a bearing and wrench. This kit comes with everything you will need to install one of these. It includes the popular sizes and 1/4-20 has been my most used so far.Everything comes in a plastic two-sided case and the different size tools are colorfully capped and large raised numbers.Overall this is one of those tools that is not used much, but when needed, with this kit, you will have everything to put one in.

This is the Duratl river nut tool kit (DT-600). It comes with the rivet nut tool, instructions, a nice case, and an assortment of the most common rivet nuts for the most common bolt sizes. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The different sized inserts are all stamped with the size, and they all come with labeled cases for each size. The rivet nuts come in labeled bags (this is my only complaint). The bags they come in are labeled, but are not resealable, so if you open them, the rivets can fall out and get mixed in with the other sizes. I would recommend putting them in separate sealable bags after you open them so they don’t get mixed up.This tool does take a good deal of effort to squeeze and crush the rivet. I tested this with the biggest one as it should be the hardest one to squeeze. I wanted to test this before trying it on my car or a project, so I drilled out a washer with a 3/8” drill bit (instructions say 9mm or 3/8” drill bit for the 1/4-20 size). 9mm is actually a little bit smaller than the 3/8” hole I drilled, which was a little loose (3/8”), but it still worked just fine. The rivet installed tight, no wobble, and it didn’t spin even when applying a good amount of force.I would definitely recommend this if you are trying to replace or install a nut in a tight spot, or where you can’t normally get to (blind nut, inside a sealed location, in a frame rail, inside a body panel, etc).

I have a little project using 1/8" steel plate that I really wanted some captive nuts in, and rivnuts are just what the doctor ordered. I'm using the included M6 nuts, drilling a 9mm pilot hole as per the chart in the instructions. Setting up the tool for the first time as described in the instructions took a little bit of re-reading and trial and error, but after doing it once you won't forget. The terms used in the manual such as "mandrel" aren't defined, you're just supposed to know. Again, you'll figure it out.The M6 nut required quite a lot of effort to squeeze tight; I had to use both hands. I think this style of tool that's more or less set up for one hand is limited to nuts that aren't any bigger than the included M6. For larger, you'd need one of the two-handed tools that are of course more expensive than this one.I will say, the case is pretty nifty for what it is. The tool and mandrels are in one side, and you just flip the case over to get to the rivnuts on the other side. All in all, glad to finally have a rivnut tool, and it's worked just fine so far.
