An ugly piece of junk that I'm required to mount on three different doors in order to pass inspection. Cheap plastic, but hey, it's required by law so let's charge lots of money for it.

This thing does the job but wish the wire between the sensor and alarm was longer, they only give y about 12” to separate the alarm from the sensors. The alarm unit is much bigger than it needs to be. Perhaps there’s some regulatory reason? But the buzzer is mostly hollow and it’s kind of an eyesore, there’s a big POOGUARD logo across top. There is no way the per unit production expense is more than $4 It does work tho and I’m sure there’s an extra level of compliance certification built into retail price but $60/unit feels greedy for a safety device.

It is easy to install but the alarm does not go off when the door opens at all. It does go off when i take it apart. Crazy but nope it does not work.

Worked as stated. Needed three of them to pass inspection on new pool. If you don't intend to keep the alarms operable suggest you buy used and save the money.
