I was interested in these gas and carbon monoxide detectors as a nice safety measure as our house has natural gas heating and a gas stovetop. Setup is easy I guess, you just plug them in and they make an announcement and count down from 180 then they're armed. I have plugged them in to multiple areas of my home for various lengths of time (days and weeks) but haven't gotten an alert yet which is good I guess.I agree with the other reviewer though as I'm not sure I trust them but I don't have the means to test them without purposely leaking gas into my home. They also make an annoying buzzing sound when plugged in. I'm going to look elsewhere for peace of mind.

Review for: Plug-in Natural Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detectors, FLUNGSKY 2 in 1 CO & Combustible Gas Combination Gas Detector with Light and Voice Alarm, for Home/Kitchen/Hotel..I don't trust these, especially with my life. I plugged both into a power strip then turned on the power strip. The detectors have a voice that tells you to wait as they warm up (don't remember the exact words). After turning on the power strip both detectors started counting down from 180. You can see the count down at 112 seconds to go in one of the pictures. After they reached zero, one screen went blank and the other had a reading of 77P that fluctuated a little. You can see in another picture, one is blank and the other has 077P. I pressed the self-test per the manual and the alarm sounded on both. The displays then went back to what they were (blank and ~77P). The manual indicates they should read 000. They didn't. I have a portable CO meter and it shows zero (see picture). The user manual indicates that at 50 ppm the alarm will sound in 60 to 90 minutes (see third picture). Since one read ~77P, I left both plugged in well over 90 minutes (close to 2 hours), and there was no alarm. I took them outside and let them countdown, and both acted the same outside (Blank and ~77P). Next to the display is a L:LEL and P:PPM. The manual doesn't tell you how to change from PPM to Level. There is only one button (Self-Test). I pushed and held the self-test button on the one with 77P on the screen. after a couple of seconds, the screen showed "bd 1", and the voice said something like, sensor correct please wait a minute. After that, it's screen was blank. I unplugged one for 5 or so minutes and plugged it back in. I counted down and the screen was blank. Don't know how to get the reading back on the display. The only information on how to used the detectors are the 3 steps shown in section IV (see picture).

Everybody who has gas service to their home should have at least one of these. Since the package has 2, I put one in the basement where the furnace is, and one in the kitchen where the gas stove is located.Just plug it into an electric outlet, push the start button, and it goes to work. After a warm up period, a green light "assures you" your air is free from things like methane, propane, natural gas, and even carbon monoxide!Couldn't be easier!

I have been concerned about the buildup of carbon monoxide after a relative almost died from a malfunctioning furnace. These devices allow for much more peace of mind. They are easy to install and automatically go through a start up phase. The alarm sound is not quite as loud as most smoke alarms but should be strong enough to get one's attention. The led lights that indicate it is functioning are a bit brighter than I would like if placed in a bedroom but not a problem for me as I have it in a hallway near the furnace. These are a good way to make sure your house is free from excess carbon monoxide. Should a gas leak occur they should let you know before the situation becomes dangerous.

Simply plug it in and it does a test over a couple minutes then it's ready to go. I can't speak as to how well it detects the gases and I hope I never have to.

This plugs in standardly and seems to work as described so far.
