The quality of this is mediocre at best. It's very inexpensive, so that is to be expected. The pill crusher is horrible for crushing a single small pill. I am a well fit and muscular man, and I have difficulty crushing a small pill. The metal crusher now has a dent in it from twisting so hard to crush the pill. The design for the splitter seems to work great.

This is so difficult to use that I had to return it. Instead of the lid having a point on it to help crush the pills both the lid and the bottom have dimples. So it takes FOREVER. And it's big around so my hands which are not small, but not large either, hurt after a short time. If you are strong with large hands this may be for you, but otherwise don't waste your money!

I ordered the Renmingfed 3-in-1 Pill Grinder and Cutter with Storage Box because a member of my family needed to be able to crush pills, and the pill crusher they had did a very poor job. I was disappointed to find that no written instructions were included at all. The device arrives in a little cellophane bag without a box or any kind of information. It’s a fairly simple device, but a usage guide would have been appreciated. One must refer to the order page if they want this kind of information. The performance, however, was not disappointing. This little gadget does a wonderful job. I placed an oblong Benadryl tablet in the pill cutter slot and closed the lid. The device made a clean cut through the pill with ease, the blade is very sharp. There weren’t any uneven or crumbling edges. I then placed a pill in the grinding chamber and did about four grinding twists. The pill was reduced to a powder about the same texture as baking soda. This was with very minimal effort, I was impressed. This will be perfect for my family member as they occasionally have pain and stiffness in their hands due to arthritis. Since the grinding chamber is dome shaped, there aren’t any corners for the crushed pill to get stuck in, it slides out with ease. A large pill storage area is built into the device which is quite convenient, especially for travel. This is a nice design, I really like it. It seems well made too. I do, however, wonder if the top lid on mine is working properly. It comes off very easily, I’m not sure if it’s supposed to do this or not. Since I don’t know if this is a fault or a feature I’m not subtracting a star for it, but I am deducting one for the lack of instructions.****About me: Integrity is very important to me. This is very clever and a hefty little piece. I do like it. The only "sort of" problem I have is that opening the top cover to reveal the pill splitter was more difficult than expected because it would rather open to the pill storage area underneath instead. In other words, it would rather lift off the entire pill cutter so it's a separate piece rather than just let you open the top to reveal the pill cutter. When I finally did use the cutter, I experimented with cutting a round pill into quarters. The first cut (into halves) was even, but one of the cuts into quarters was not. I honestly don't think any cutter is failsafe in accuracy, and I don't think this one is any different, so I can't really fault them too much on that (despite the messaging that this might somehow be superior in accuracy). Anyway, when fussing with the above I realized elderly hands like my father would get frustrated at not being able to get the compartment he wants. So I think this is meant more for caregivers, and for us having a complicated all-in-one including an easy grinder (which worked very well btw) is super handy. So it's 5 stars from that perspective, but only 3 stars from the perspective of my very elderly father ever using it. So I'm giving it a 4. By the way, I got the sleek all black version but I see how having the two colors would be helpful because it cues users better on where the different compartments are.

It's very useful. The grinding end is made of metal. Even relatively large tablets can be directly ground into powder without the need to be chopped up first!

I have owned numerous pillow grinders and this is my far the best one I have ever bought! The metal lining on both the male and female parts helps make the removal of caked on powder very easy and you don't run into any plastic scraping off to wear and tear or scraping powder off when cleaning the machine out. I get a consistent fine powder every time. Knowing how well this works I would pay triple the cost because I have wasted way more than that on inferior pill grinders which in the past.
