The design of this drinker really helps to keep the water clean, unlike chicken drinkers which are open on the bottom where the water sits exposed to droppings and feathers, pigeons have to poke thier heads inside the drinkers, there is less evaporation as well,they sit perfectly on be the water heaters . I use 2 of these in my coop,the water lasts 7 days with 75 bird's
