Good glass water bottle, meaning it’s safe for rats! This is also able to hang inside the cage. The only sort’ve issue I’ve encountered is sometimes ths nozzle leaks/drips. However, it seems to have something to do with the angle it’s resting at, and most of the time the drip will eventually stop if you adjust your angles. A bit of trial and error, but other than those few small hiccups that pop up occasionally, I’d say this bottle is pretty great! My rats even like to use the top (bottom? It’s flipped, so idk) as another extra platform to climb onto. It’s adorable, and I highly recommend this!

Bottle is not as advertised. Arrives with a plastic lid rather than a metal one, meaning this bottle is NOT CHEW PROOF.

I rescued 3 guinea pigs that had never used a drip bottle before. (The previous owner used a bowl) They were extremely rough on the kaytee one and it dripped pretty bad. They were rough with this one as well, but it is not leaking and has held up great to their tugging and chewing.

A rentacoop bottle that I thought would work but this one works like a charm. It'll spill out when you first flip it over but just clean the spout and apply it to the cage and it'll stop. I just bought this and got this last night and thought it was going to be spilling like the rest but I was wrong! Might go for the bigger size next as this one is too small for my guineas but it'll be perfect for like 1 or 2 guineas. Easy to install as well just fill up to the make it full and put the plug in first then screw the top on as tight as you can. It has to be really tight! This was not as advertised but it does work! I just filled my guineas bottle and cleaned there cage and I haven't seen any drips out of it yet! I'm just waiting for a few more hours and hopefully it'll be clear of water! I'm just glad I found something that actually works! Also it didn't come broken though when I got the box it sounded broken lol but it was a pain to put the clip onto the bottle. I'd suggest put the clip onto the bottle and let it sit for a minute to expand so it'd be easier to put onto the cage.

its all glass and metal, so my ratties dont even feel like chewing it. it doesnt leak. it comes with a little plastic turtle so you can see the water level at a glance. it removes from the outside of the cage and reinstalls in seconds. its perfect.the first package that was shipped to me had two inner spouts and no screw on top to secure it - a little odd, and a minor inconvenience, but the issue was resolved immediately and the new (functional) bottle was just perfect. i want a few more of these come to think of it...

Over the last two years I have bought three glass water bottles in the 12 ounce size. The first one I bought about a year ago in 2023 and it was just like in the pictures with a stainless steel cap and worked great. The other two I just purchased in June 2024 and they have plastic caps that do not feel like they are anywhere near as good of quality as the steel ones from the year before. I decided to give them a try anyway and the plastic cap makes it much more difficult to adjust the angle of the water tube itself as you tighten things - it wants to bind and not allow adjusting. But OK I can live with that - just an inconvenience compared to the old style. Next, when I went to mount the bottle to the cage the newer springs are now literally several times over longer than the one I received from last years bottle. OK - maybe that is better because too long of a spring can be adjusted shorter and maybe someone needs the longer spring so OK I'll live with it as well. So I got the first one mounted. Then I go to rinse out and fill the second bottle from this 2024 order and there's a hole in the bottle and water is leaking. There actually is a hole in the glass bottle as if it was formed that way. It is not a crack mind you - but instead a relatively clean hole about 1/8 inch in diameter. I'll be returing the defective one and not buying these any more.

I have rats and always had issues finding good water bottles that didn’t leak or break after a few months of use. I’ve had this bottle for over a year now and it still works amazing. The quality is really good and I have no complaints at all. I never have 1 leak. As mentioned in some other reviews there is a specific way to tighten this bottle so if people say it leaks it could be because they tightened it incorrectly. You need to make sure everything is dry when screwing the top on as well, as any water around the opening of the bottle or in the plastic/rubber cover will prevent a good seal. When screwing the top on it’s best to start with the spout facing the flat side of the bottle, and then you hold the spout itself still while turning the plastic cover clockwise. After you feel you’ve tightened the cover enough you then turn the spout clockwise as well until it’s tight. This will take you a fair bit of trial and error to get right but after you get it once it’s so easy to do every other time. You want the tightened spout to be facing the flat side of the water bottle when you’re done as well. If your spout is tightened anywhere not facing the flat side then you should loosen and try again, it really is a lot of fine tuning to get it just right but once you do this bottle will not leak. It’s also really easy for rats to use, and I haven’t noticed my boys struggle to get a sufficient water flow or anything. The ball bearing moves easily for them as it is light and never gets stuck in the spout. The bottle is very easy to clean as well. Also the turtle floater is adorable, love that little guy (although be careful when emptying the water bottle in the sink as the turtle floaty is small enough to go down the drain). I highly recommend this bottle, especially to other rat parents.

I purchased this item preparing for a 8 hour drive to my daughter's wedding. I tried using a bowl not filled more then 1/2 way, but the water would still slosh all over. I am taking my two cats since I plan to visit the area where she lives for 7 days. They have not really tried to use it yet. But a Feral cat I brought in the house for two days prior to taking her to a local shelter, took to it right away. So I love that the bottle is made of glass. Good for cleaning. The tube is metal, so no chewing on it causing damage, plus easy cleaning. The metal screw cap that connects the tube to the bottle is the only weak area. It works perfect, but very thin. May warp in time. A little green turtle is included, it floats in the water so you can moniter the water level. So cute! I am very pleased with this purchase. Hope to use this item repeatedly.
