The water fills all the way to the very brim of the drink cup so there is no way for air to get back into the bottle. And once the bottle gets enough water sucked out, it stops flowing till the cup is almost empty. Except the birds can't get their heads in to get the water that low. And the whole thing has to be removed to get the bottle on and off and a LOT of water is spilled trying to get it back in place. ANY slight pressure on the bottle causes water to bubble over the top. Anything but perfectly level for the whole process causes water to spill over the brim. Was really hoping these would work, but they will be going back. :-(

Since we were traveling, the road bumps kept these from holding the water well. Would be great for stationary cage.

They are much larger than I expected so they don't fit in my cages. Also a little flimsier than I would like.
