I got this to try to slow down my cat's eating speed. She will eat too fast and vomit what I believe to be too often.I also like the easy clean-up. The high sides are also helpful to keep the food in the dish.Note I only feed dry food from this bowl. Wet food I put on a plate.

I ordered one and it works really well for my kitty, so I ordered two more the following week. One of the bowls in this recent double order arrived in a damaged box and the bowl itself had a broken sidewall. The other two I ordered were intact.

Good design! Really helped my cat slow down while eating (mostly wet food with different toppers). He used to eat really fast and then finish his siblings’ leftovers. Since switching to this plate he has slowed down and eats less. I think taking more time to eat gives him time to feel full and not go for his siblings’ leftovers as much. I wish the bottom of the plate was glazed and flat because that would make it easier to clean, but overall, it’s been a great product! It would also be great to have an elevated/raised version. For now, I just set the plate on top of a box so that it’s a bit raised.

My cat broke a larger version of this plate so I was on the hunt for something a little smaller but still a slow feeder that is ceramic and(heavy enough they can’t move it & safe for my cats) and this was absolutely perfect! I use it for both wet and dry food. I prefer this one too because it has enough of a lip on the edge that Food doesn’t just slide off the edge like the old one did. Easy to clean also!

I've shopped around and tried a couple different bowls with little success. With most of them, my cats refused to stick their mouths far enough in to get the food in deeper bowls. So I looked around for shallow ones and found these. All four of my cats use them and it actually does the job, slowing them down and stretching out their dry food eating, instead of them inhaling the dry food like they would from a standard bowl. Unfortunately, the shallowness of the bowl means there are some few bits thrown outside. The messes are minor, though.

I recommend an elevated bowl if you have a cat that eats fast.It is easily cleaned and slows down cats who eat like it's their last meal.

This was a much better purchase to slow down our cat's eating than the silicone maze dish we originally bought (the cat was able to grab the channels of the first bowl with his teeth and flip it to spill all the food). The ceramic dish cannot be picked up by the cat's teeth and the non-slip silicone matt works well. The spaces between the dolphins are large enough that he can get at the food but it does slow him down a bit. Advertising that it will take 20 minutes to eat instead of 5 minutes is a laugh because, instead of 30 seconds, it now takes our cat about 4 minutes!

The bowl is deep enough for up to 3/4 cup of food but still separate kibble. You do have to spread it out. The bowl is a bit complete to clean & dry with the dolphins in the way, but it’s worth it. The bowl doesn’t slide around on the plastic mat I use for bowls, so I’m using the included silicone disc as a trivet.

Perfect for our cat who thinks eating is a race. This really slows him down and stops his acid reflux. It fits perfect under our automatic dispenser and disperses well throughout the entire bowl.

Our calico would scarf down her kibble as if it was her last meal. Instead of chewing, she would almost inhale the kibble then try to move on to our orange tabby's bowl. The ceramic is sturdy and comes with a silicone mat. There's enough of an edge to keep the kibble within the bowl depending on the amount your cat is fed. I would say it is easy to wash mainly because of the kibble instead of wet food. She has definitely slowed down her race to the finish. Bowls were packaged securely and received in perfect condition. FYI: Made in China
