I was pleasantly surprised by these Cat Slow Feeder Bowl Set - 2 Pcs Ceramic Cat Food Plates for Slow Eating. From the photo, I was expecting plastic or silicone, but they are a very nice heavy duty ceramic. They even come with little rubber feet for the bottom to keep them from sliding around.I have been fostering three kittens and the male is a big piggy. Not only is he twice the size of his sisters, but he inhales his food and then comes looking for theirs. This has really helped to slow down how fast he consumes his food. There are times, though, when there is still some wet food left between the ridges and he seems a bit frustrated trying to get it out. So maybe this is a better option for dry food than wet.Still it works as I hoped it would and has slowed Mr. Piggy Pants down enough to allow his sisters to eat without him pestering them.

I was hoping the bowls would be just a bit smaller so they'd fit into the raised stands I have for my cats. My cats mainly consume dry food and some have issues with eating way too fast and then immediately throwing up (I know some cat parents can relate to this struggle). Now if they did fit, I'd say the bowls work perfect well and are quite sturdy. Plus you can microwave them if needed. I currently use these for whenever I give my cats wet food and so far I haven't had to deal with any vomit from the fast eaters.

le ho trovate veramente utili sopratutto perché il mio cane tendeva a finire tutto il cibo in pochi secondi , con queste ciotole mangia molto più lentamenteessendo in ceramica le ho trovate un po’ scomode per me dato che il mio cane è maldestro

Was soll ich sagen, wir haben einen jungen Kater und er schlingt aus einem "normalen" Napf, das Fressen geradezu in sich hinein. Da wir sein Fressverhalten ändern wollten habe ich mich auf die Suche nach einem Anti Schling Napf gemacht und er sollte aus Porzellan sein. Dieses Doppelset das mir über das Amazon Vine System angeboten wurde, sollte es werden.Die Näpfe kamen sehr sicher verpackt und unbeschädigt bei uns an, den Napf kurz abgespült und schon wurde das erste Trockenfutter deutlich langsamer gefressen.Beim Nassfutter ist der Effekt noch deutlich sichtbarer. Wir sind von diesen Näpfen total begeistert!Auf jeden Fall eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

I love the size bowls and how they’re made from ceramic instead of plastic or silicone! Very easy to clean and the shapes are just the right distances from each other so the cats are easily adapting.

I decided to try these bowls for my small jack russell who needs a slow feeder to eat his Farmer's Dog food, but the small slow feeder bowls we've tried haven't worked out because the bowls have been too deep and the sides have been too tall so that when he ate, his collar and tracker tags, that need to stay on, would make noise and spook him and he'd refuse to eat. We tried plates but then he'd push his food on the floor and make a mess. These bowls are the best of both worlds. He gets the benefit of the slow feeder yet it is shallow enough that his tags don't hit while eating. The bowls are well made and nicely glazed ceramic that are easy to wash and clean and come with some 3M feet to attach, but on past experience with other bowls that come with feet like these, plan to purchase additional rubber/silicone feet from a home supply store as replacements. Not a ding on this bowl, just a limitation on the overall solution that no bowl maker has yet to solve so it isn't fair to grade any bowl on in my opinion. Plus it is really nice that you get 2 bowls in a package so while one is in the dishwasher, the other can be used for the next meal. Highly recommended for your small dog!

Siempre ha sido un glotón y antes devoraba la comida tan rápido que acababa vomitando con frecuencia, pero desde que usa estos cuencos, eso ya no le pasa.El diseño le obliga a comer más despacio, lo que mejora su digestión. Además, está hecho de cerámica de muy buena calidad, lo que facilita muchísimo la limpieza. I use this for my puppy and it works really well. It's a light challenge and did a good job slowing down her consumption because it's not too shallow. She usually finishes meals in a few seconds, this bowl makes her take a minute or two. She doesn't choke or gag anymore, and her stomach health is much better. She throws up the entire meal after inhaling food from regular bowls if she ate too quickly.The ceramic is thick and durable. I really love the choice of material because it's something she can't chew through. Also the bowl is very heavy and she won't be able to flip the bowl. You can also clean it quickly just by rinsing it under the tap for a few seconds with a sponge or use.The design is great, it stays on the ground securely so she can't knock it over. There's rubber at the base that holds onto the floor amazingly. This feeder also doesn't make annoying noises while she's eating or trying to push it. My ears have been spared.Kibbles never get stuck, but they are hidden enough to slow her down. The little banana design is also a cute feature.I feel much more at peace during feeding time because of this bowl.

If you're reading this then you probably have a cat or dog that scarfs mercilessly, not so much "eating" food as inhaling it. Sooner or later there's vomit on the floor, comprised mostly of whole and unchewed food, and you think about buying a dish like one of these. You should definitely consider it. The "slow feeder" bowls are all the rage right now and with good reason: your furry pals have to navigate around the various bumps and ledges of the bowl to get smaller and more individual bites of food rather than just sucking down entire mouthfuls. These bowls work really well for that purpose, being that they're a decent size and also heavy enough to not easily be flopped around by your pet. The colors are great too, I chose the ivory and pink dishes and was happy to see that the colors match the product images. I've used dry food as well as moist and the cats respond well. Sometimes they eat around the raised area directly while other times they prefer to use their paws to knock some of the food out (which isn't easy because the dishes have raised edges), either way this means that they're eating the food more slowly. These dishes do exactly what I want them to do and they look great doing it.
