This dish can be used without the 'stand'. I actually use it for my small dog and it drops right into his rise feeder platform ; ) I wasn't a fan of the silicon inserts, I didn't want anything bitten. This hard surface is easier to separate dry or wet food and greatly slows down his meal time - less burping. Good modification. The only thing to note is the paw imprint is embossed, meaning the underside is concave, for cleaning we solve this by standing the bowl on its side to ensure both sides dry adequately.

My cats vomit much less now. I found them hard to clean at first but now let them soak for a few minutes and use a good brush which gets between the little bumps on the bottom. I find it best not to push the food down too far into the bumps as the cats find it too hard to get it out.

She loves getting her sardines with olive oil this this dish. It matches the other cream ceramic bowls I have for her. Easy to clean and functional.

This bowl is durable and easy to clean. The stand is removable and can be used as a bowl as well, but its nice to keep it elevated.

This pops together easily (and there's a catch in the base, so the top doesn't just sit on the bottom) and is quite sturdy. I can't tell if it helps slow down eating because I have multiple cats and bowls right now, so can't force any particular cat to eat out of it. But my cats are eating out of it because the food disappears. So it is what it says and it's small enough, when taken apart, to easily slip in a bag for traveling.

We have a cat that acts like he is starving all the time. He inhales his food. I like that the bumps on this bowl are taller, making the space between deeper which makes it harder for him to get the food. The problem is that this bowl isn't super heavy, so when he gets frustrated, he just knocks the thing over and eats it off the floor. If your furry hoover has better manners than ours, this is probably great for you. We still use it as we have a variety of options to slow him down, but I wish it were harder to tip over.

I really needed to try this with my kitten as she eats too fast. Being I was already using elevated bowls I wanted to try this one. This bowl does come apart where you can use it elevated or flat depending on how your cat likes it. The problem with this bowl is my girl has figured out how to lean it over to get more food, kind of defeats the purpose of slow eating. Also, makes a big mess with food everywhere. I think if this was a bit more sturdy and heavier she would not be able to make it lean, so using this elevated for her is no longer an option. Nicely made bowl and easy to clean, just cannot use it elevated.
