This bowl is perfect because it solves two problems that most cat-owners face; fast-eaters and bad neck positioning while eating. The bowl is raised so it levels out the cat's neck to it's body which is healthier for it's digestion. It also has the little puzzle built in to slow them down so you don't get the binge/purge issue.I like that it is dishwasher safe and the grooves are just far enough apart to where they are pretty easy to clean.

My cat is growing out of her teenager phase and into an adult, so I wanted to get her a bowl that'd be easier to eat from, but unfortunately I think this one will just be temporary. The wide width and slow feeding mechanism are pretty good, but I just don't think the height is quite right. Instead of being able to eat standing, my cat has to crouch weirdly to reach her food. This might be a good bowl for younger cats, but I'd be wary if you're planning on getting it for an adult cat.

This is a big bowl for a cat. Not sure what size they think cats are. Otherwise it is a good bowl. It does slow down our cat eating and so far has cut down his food volume. I do recommend it if you need a bit of less food with your cat or maybe small dog.

My cat has an automatic feeder for dry food, and a flat plate for wet food. When he eats the wet food, it gets pushed all around and off of the plate, plus it's flat on the grown, and he is prone to regurgitate the food. I got this raised slow feeder bowl to help those issues. It is heavy and there is a rubber ring on the bottom, so he can't push it around. It is curved upwards so he can't push the food off the bowl as he tries to lick it up. And with those designs in the bowl to make it a slow feeder, he is not eating as fast, and along with it being raised, that seems to be helping with his regurgitation issues. It is a really nice quality bowl and would work well for dry kibble as well as the canned food, and it would work for small dogs as well.

I have to feed my cats on an elevated surface so my dog doesn't help himself to their wet food. I was a little concerned the cats would take this dish as a challenge to knock off the table but I don't think they could even if they wanted to, it's heavy! It's a good size, height wise, as well. The cat in my photo is a big guy and he doesn't have to lean down too far to get his food.I ordered the yellow but it's definitely a cream color, which I prefer anyway.

I ordered this for our fat cat because he eats all of his food and them kicks his siblings off of their bowls and eats their food (probably how he ended up being our fat cat). This bowl is very attractive and well made. It's ceramic and has a nice weight to it. I think it's a bit large for a cat bowl. But that does force him to dig his food out of all the little puzzle areas. We did try another puzzle bowl that is rubber and he prefers this one. If you have a fast eater, this is a good choice. He sticks to this one better than he did the previous one (he would abandon his food puzzle and just eat the other cats' food). Aesthetically, I would prefer this to not be so large, but the size certainly doesn't make the bowl function improperly.

I was surprised at the heft of this bowl. It's definitely not something my cats will be able to knock over easily. This is a great option for any cat who tends to vomit a lot from eating too fast. The bowl is angled and elevated, so kitty is in a more natural feeding position with their spine aligned. It also has ridges in the bottom to make it much harder for kitty to scarf down their food, so there's much less chance they'll vomit it back up five minutes later. And it looks nice, too! Yes, it's a bit pricier than the average cat bowl, but it's very sturdy and will last a LONG time - and during that long time, you most likely will have MUCH less kitty puke to clean up. That's definitely worth a few extra dollars in my book.

Human perspective: My cat was gobbling his food and we were looking for a puzzle bowl so he would pace himself throughout the day. I like the color, it matches another yellow raised cat bowl we have. I like the little cat ears on the bowl, it's adorable. It's pretty hefty so unlikely to tip over. It's pretty wide to reduce whisker fatigue but the center dips in a bit; I don't know if it's too deep for his little face but he stops eating at a particular level (see picture).Cat perspective: What is this? Where's my normal bowl? I don't like these little grooves. This is highly in efficient, mother, and I refuse to continue eating from this bowl. Instead I will whine constantly until you extract the kibble into my normal bowls. In conclusion, it does the job of slowing down his eating. We will try again and see if he figures it out. Otherwise this human has plans to repurpose this as a plant holder.
