This worked perfect for me traveling with my dog across states. (About 11 hours), she was able to roam back and forth on the back seat, and it had enough length for her to lay down.

I bought this zip line over a year ago and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. My dog is safely secured while hooked in and has full range of the back seat. She gets so excited going back and forth from window to window. Thankfully she’s never tried to jump out. And when she exhausts herself she can still lay down comfortably and safely. I had to slam on the breaks a few times while she was on the zip line. She never slid off the seat.I would suggest to use a harness collar with this or any dog restraints. For your pets safety.I recommend this product & seller.

I have a nervous 5yr old rescue dog that apparently had few experiences riding in the car. I patiently waited 6 months for him to stop crying when I crated him in the back. Then I added the pheromone spray to no avail- he is already on meds for anxiety. So then I gave him the “run of the car.” He hid under the drivers seat, and ran around the car each time I stopped at a traffic light. I could barely catch him on time when I opened the door or window. The behavioral trainer suggested this zip line. Easy install, price under $20. BUT… after three whiney rides, he settled down. He can put his paws on the center console and scoot between the windows. He feels like he is next to me while being safely restrained. He doesn’t jump out, doesn’t put us both in danger by trying to sit on my lap….Best buy I’ve made in taming my anxious pup!!

I have bought many dog seatbelts for my basset hound. I purchased the ones that buckled into the seatbelt clip and went around the head rest, and on more then one occasion he would tangle himself and once had became so anxious he got it around his neck. This allows for my dog to move SAFELY around the back seat while ensuring he doesn’t get caught in the strap. This does provide a lot of slack so you do have to play around with it and see how much slack your comfortable giving your dog. I have mine set up where he has enough slack to put his front paws on the middle console but not enough to come to the front seat. It definitely makes me feel at ease that he is safe in my car. I would definitely recommend!

I purchased this zip line for my Jersey girl whom my boyfriend and I adopted just before Christmas. It was super easy to install. I made the line that hangs down and attaches to her harness as short as possible to give her the least amount of leeway as possible. Unfortunately, it still gave her enough room to jump into the front seat, back hatch and lean out the windows more than I was comfortable with. With that being said, I still wanted to give it a chance. I had previously been using a seatbelt harness and it was limiting her too much. Anyways, we used the zip line for a few different car rides and each time she got braver and braver. The other day it was beautiful outside and she must have REALLY enjoyed the wind in her fur. She was leaning out the window further and further each time and I kept yelling at her to get back. I even rolled up the windows on the expressway because she was making me nervous. We were stopped at a red light and the back windows were down. I was in the right lane waiting to turn right when she must have hung out the window too far and slipped! I yelled, “Jersey Marie,” threw my vehicle in park, whipped my seat belt off and jumped out. I ran to the other side to find her crazy a** with her back against the vehicle and all fours out in front of her just dangling there! I lifted her up and shoved her back in through the window and then ran back to jump in my vehicle so I could continue on our way. After rolling the windows back up I lost it. I had tears streaming down my face with laughter. I could only imagine what the people in the other cars sitting in traffic were thinking with this dog dangling out of the window!! I so wish I would have taken a picture of her but I think I would have peed my pants right there on the road. Jersey weighs about 55 pounds and it held her weight just fine. I’m grateful she was in a harness and not a collar or she would have been choked out. I’m SUPER grateful we weren’t driving when she fell out! Despite what happened I still recommend this product. I do wish they made the attachment much shorter and I’ll be looking for a way to shorten it so this never happens again. When we got home she was scared to get out so maybe she learned her lesson but it’s just a risk I’m not willing to take.

This zipline safety leasg works just like expected for me. I have a 74 lb 2 year old Husky mix dog. The zipline has a little strap to easily tuck in and move the extra slack on the strap out of the way but my dog moves around too much that it gets undone so I just wrap it around the roof handle. One hook did become undone once but because I wrapped the extra slack of the strap around the handle it stayed up and continued to work. My dog loves to move around from window to window but at the same time I would love for him to be protected should we unfortunately get involved in a car accident. I use to use a buckle in tether for him but he would get upset not being able to move completely from window to window and have access to the whole backseat area so he would eventually somehow wiggle out or step out of his harness which woukd defeat the whole purpose. The black leasg is long enough for my dog to be able to be completely mobile. My dog has an easy walk harness that clips in the front and I keep his leash on for easy access and this zipline safety leash works with this. I don't recommend just using a collar as your dog can choke on any kind of leash. A harness is affordable and it makes a big difference for you and your dog. Overall, I love this zipline safety car leash. It wasn't too expensive and it tightens pretty well. I would recommend this to anyone who may need one.
