This is so worth it. My dog likes it and he’s usually my shotgun rider. It makes me feel comfortable that he’s not able to climb over me and into my lap or maybe hopping out the window. So easy to use and my seatbelt alarm doesn’t go off constantly

There's been so many stories about people getting into car accidents and their pets getting out of the car and getting hit. I mean, its bad enough that you got in an accident, but to also lose a pet (family member) too! We live near a freeway and we've rescued a few dogs whose owners turned out to have been involved in a crash.I ordered these for our little fur-kids. We have 3 weiner dogs (miniature dachshunds) and we love them to death! But they are small and they can easily get between the seats and they always want to sit on our laps while we drive... And sometimes, they wanna drive the car... As cute as all that sounds, sometimes you just don't need a warm, little hairy dog sitting on your lap, breathing in your face while you drive. They're especially annoying when they wanna know what's going on in that bag that you guys got from the drive-thru. And I swear our dogs have ADD so they are constantly roaming around in the car, getting into who knows what kind of trouble. Just stay in the back seat and sit down!!!So this! This solves the problem... Mostly.Since there are only 2, we have to attach each dog to the tri-dog leash, then attach them to this. We have a Chevy HHR and when I tried to buckle this in at first, it looked like it was too big. Don't lose hope. Shove that sucker in nice and hard, then CLICK. It'll lock in. I put the dogs in a harness cuz I know our littlest one would still be able to wiggle loose out of her collar... And this came in handy later. I shortened the seat belt attachment to the shortest I could, but with the tri-dog leash (which can't be shortened) they can still reach our arm rests. During our drive, we noticed the little one trying to jump into the trunk area, and after a might leap, we lost sight of her! We totally thought that she'd just be hanging there, but the tri-leash + seat belt attachment combo was just long enough for her feet to be touching the floor of the trunk. And THAT is why we were glad we put her in a harness... Just she may have hung herself on her collar.Overall, this is a good product. I almost returned it thinking that the metal buckle part didn't fit in my car's seat belt buckle, but after putting some umpf into it, it clicked. Again, I wish that you can adjust it a little shorter for the snaller dogs or when you have to use it with something that extends (like a tri-leash). But I do think that the straps are very durable and they will keep my dogs safe when we drive.

Updated 1/31/18: I had originally purchased these seat belts in 2016, and they were a literal lifesaver for my dog. My car was totaled when a car going 45mph in the opposite direction crossed lanes and hit us. My dog was wearing her seatbelt and the police and EMTs were shocked that she was ok and didn’t fly through the windshield on impact. They could barely get my door open and I went to the hospital, but my dog was injury free. I just purchased a new set for my new car, and I would recommend these without question to any dog owner!I got these for my dog for quick trips around town --- she has the bad habit of wanting to jump into the front seat with whoever is sitting there - and since she's 50 lbs, it doesn't really work out.I bought these based on the price, but what has really blown me away is Vastar's customer service --- they completely went above and beyond, and I would not hesitate to do business with them again.I got these seat belts a day before expected to arrive, in a soft envelope, so they fit in our mailbox. I was surprised by the speedy shipping!Unfortunately, having not been restrained at all in the car, my dog did NOT like them and managed to chew both of them apart. I was upset, but figured I spent less than $10, so it was no big deal. I managed to tie two of the ends together (I was surprised they held up in a knot), and used it as a makeshift seatbelt until I could get new ones.About a week after my purchase, Vastar had emailed me asking about how I liked the product, and if I had any questions. I told them that I was unfortunately unable to really use them, since my dog had destroyed them within the first few days.I was super impressed that Vastar worked with me to send a replacement belt immediately. They said they wanted me to be satisfied with my purchase, and sent me a new one, with a shipping confirmation. Not only did I receive the new belt in 2 days (it even arrived on a Sunday!), but they sent a 2-pack, rather than just one.My dog is now used to wearing her seat belt, and I have had zero issues with the replacements. The fact that they went totally above and beyond makes me so glad I purchased these, and will continue buying products from them in the future!
