My last set of points and condenser lasted 3 weeks before the condenser went bad. The 1143 Pertronix kit was an easy install on my 1957 Massey Ferguson TO 35. Tractor starts wright up, no cutting out or loss of power. I also have a Pertonix in a 68 Dodge, very happy with it. I wasn't sure that I really needed it, but also used the Pertronix 40,000 volt coil. I'm starting to think that the electric parts that are available for these older vehicles are being made out of cheaper materials. I've also had problems finding good mechanical voltage regulators. All my older tractors have GM delco alternators. Save yourself the headache of constantly trouble shooting the same problem over and over. Replace your points and condenser with a Pertronix ignitor.

I installed this on my 1957 MF50 7 years ago. I haven’t had a problem yet and we all know if I still had the points system there would have been problems. My 57 Mf50 starts right up and runs smooth. Very reliableAs far as the install, if you can replace the pints system you can handle this

Installed this on a Ferguson TO35 and the difference in performance over the points was night and day; starts easier, less misfiring and overall more smooth operation. The "quality" of current points and condensors is horrible and this solves the issue of failed condensors and point adjustments. Boots the points!

By updating my TO-20 to electronic ignition with this (complete) kit I get better mpg instant starting and no points to fail (or adjust) will pay for itself over time. Easy to instal took 30 minutes total) with cap, rotor, and wires at the same time.

I used this product on an old 4 cyl tractor. I am very impressed and it worked really well. However my first unit appeared to fail after 10 plus years. I have just installed the second identical unit which is working very well.

I converted my Ferguson TO30 tractor to a complete 12 volt system. The pertronix module was the last modernization step to eliminate the points and condenser. One key point for doing conversions on 4 cylinder engines is to make sure you use an ignition coil with 3.5 ohms of resistance. Many coils have 1.5 ohms or less, and having the 3.5 ohm coil, for me at least, was critical to make the conversion works. It has been several weeks now and I could not be happier. The tractor starts much better and much easier than when it had the old points and condenser system. I highly recommend this conversion using the Pertronix module. The improvement in starting has been nothing short of remarkable.

Work great at replacing the problems with points. I have but these in two different small 4 cyl applications and was surprised out easy the job was. Just two wires and it runs. The only thing I would change is the fact that they can burn up if you leave the key on when not running.
