This came in handy. I had to get in and out of my kayak constantly due to low water levels and getting stuck on rocks.My friend recommended I get a bilge sponge and that’s what I did. This came in very handy. It soaks up a lot of water and you can wring the water out. My friends borrowed it as well since they also got water in their yaks.4 stars because the string is flimsy.So I’m gonna be like my friend and recommend you, stranger, get a bilge sponge.

I keep it on the floor of my kayak and it soaks up a lot of water for it's size and seems like it will hold up well.

I used this sponge to mop up some pools of water that had collected over the plastic sheeting in my crawlspace. Space was restricted, but with the sponge and a bucket, I was able to soak it all up remarkably quickly. If there was any problem, it was getting the sponge dried out afterwards. Since I don’t expect to be using it on a daily basis, I didn’t want to leave it damp only to get mouldy. Hanging it up near some hot water pipes did the trick. I guess the sponge would probably do a great job on kayaks, too!

Does what you expect a sponge to do. The name on the side add vastly to the price but does nothing for it's functionality.
