This installed easily in my boat. Replaced the cable on my MinnKota Maxxus due to the old cable becoming loose and falling out during movement. Reasonable price. Solid construction. Worked great and stayed locked in place.

I really wanted to like this trolling motor plug, but it's been a frustrating experience. Every time I unplug it, the internal components seem to pull out Everytime I unplug it. Also it is on a 12 volt 55lbs thrust and internal connections of plug already starting to melt, It's a huge pain to have to constantly reassemble the plug just to use my trolling motor.This feels incredibly cheaply made. I'm not sure if I got a faulty unit or if this is a common problem, but either way, it's unacceptable. I'm going to have to replace this with a higher-quality plug that can actually withstand normal use.If you're looking for a reliable trolling motor plug, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
