The plastic is fragile. Broke at the joint the transducer mounts. I like the design wish the plastic was stronger.

I knew before purchasing this mount that it would not work out of the box. I was able to use cut and drill a stainless steel double wall plate cover to utilize as a mounting bracket. The lowrance tripleshot transducer is now securely held onto the telescoping arm. There is no wobble in the transducer at all.

Attached garmin striker 4 to its included base to the Scotty universal fish finder mount. The universal mount attached perfectly to this Scotty 141 arm, so the screen and transducer are on a single piece of hardware. This setup is attached the the rail mount on my yellowfin vibe 110 (kayak). Good purchase as it seems sturdy and flexible for later modifications. The arm attaches and removes easily, and I really like how quickly it can be stowed, and how easily the screen is removed from the arm. Overall well pleased. It came with a rail I didn’t use.

Not my first rodeo with Scotty fishing accessories. The name was why this product was selected over others. The price was also fair and a factor. Was not disappointed.The instructions were easy to follow for piecing the fish finder transducer holder together. All the pieces were there and in excellent condition.Was a little intimidated at first. But it was smartly designed. Hard to screw up the assembly.Only complaint I would have would be it did not get as short as I wanted. Did not want to run the transducer aground. As I have a tendency to forget it is in the water. Solved that issue by putting the transducer right near my seat on the rail that was included on the 12 foot. Wilderness kayak.No conflicts with fishing pole mounted nearby when it was down. Had to finagle (customize) the attachment to the Lawrence transducer to get it tight enough.It is easy to put up and down. It feels sturdy. It held up to fast trolling. Picture from transducer was clear.Spouse liked it so much, he bought one the same day mine arrived. After installation, he forgot to raise it when coming ashore. It did rub the ground but did not break. He put his closer to the front.I am confident it will last. As all my other Scotty products have. I will be checking the square nuts every now and then though. To ensure the water turbulence doesn’t loosen them too much. Cannot use loctite. They need to remain adjustable.

Been kayak fishing for the last 7yrs and this is the first Scotty mount I have owned after previously using another well known manufacturers products but after changing the kayak I needed a transducer mount and after doing a bit or research decided to try this one and I am so glad that I did. It is really well made, loads of adjustment both angle and length without having to buy add on extensions, top quality product and I will be kitting the new kayak out with all Scotty mounts I am that impressed with this one.

Bought this for my yak and have been using it for about a year now. Super easy to install and remove. Very easy to adjust. With that value, it was certainly a better option than some of the homemade transducer arm I have seen on YouTube.
