Ordered this to help with lining up standpipe when adding sand. Doesn't fit a Sta-Rite Model T-240BP-1 sand filter. Didn't fit the hole nor the pipe. No one gives you a measurement!

If you decide to change the sand in your Pentair top mount filter be sure to use this sand guide funnel. It makes filling the filter much easier.

Worked as described but center hole that covers stand pipe is too large. You have to constantly check for center as you fill sand filter.

Anyone who has changed the sand in a sand filter knows how tuff this job can be. This item helps funnel the sand and covers the end of the standpipe at the same time. The funnel fits in the filter opening nicely. My only complaint is that funnel flare could be a little wider and the standpipe cover a little longer. The short standpipe cover makes placing the standpipe a little tricky. Trying to pour damp sand from a 50 lb bag (x 5) after cleaning 250 lb of sand out of the filter can be a little difficult. Now if anyone can invent a contraption that can make cleaning wet sand out a pool filter could probably make a small fortune.
