This is replacing another pump with no timer no words on the control dial. A timer makes pool maintenance so much easier. My old pump had symbols on the dial and I had to watch a video each season to refresh my memory. This pump is bigger than I need for my pool but that just means I can run it for two hours a day instead of eight, saving electricity. It does require two fifty pound bags of pool sand. (I would not recommend those silly filter filter balls that were trendy last season.) I have set this up and am ready to go. I just need the warmer weather to arrive. I will update my review if I have any issues with this pump but seeing the quality built I doubt there will be any issues.

So far excellent, if you’re looking for an upgrade to your INTEX pool pump and sand filter this is a great option. This pump is twice the hp, and the filter is 4x the size of what INTEX provides. This pump and filter is what should come with these above ground pools in the first place. INTEX way undersizes the equipment they provide.It was a pleasant surprise to see this pump and filter came with all the adapters needed to glue PVC pipe for the connections. The pump is powerful and filter works great. No complaints. Nice product!

It isn’t quite pool season yet, but I have this prepped and ready to go with filter balls and connections for the pool vacuum. The filter and valve are solid plastic and seem to be well made. The pump is pretty hefty and appears to be solid. I have not run the pump since the pool is still covered at the moment, but I am hoping shortly to get the cover off and start prepping the pool for spring. I have used Aquastrong pumps in the past and have had no issues with them. I figured, I might as well get the pump and filter together this time. This is much cheaper than the other name brands and, in my experience, they function just as well while saving you a decent amount of money. That alone makes this a great option in my opinion. If you are looking for a filter replacement and looking for something budget friendly, you may want to consider this setup. Good quality at a significantly lower price.

This pump/filter combination features a sand filter along with a powerful 3/4 horse power 120 vac pump. Strainer has a clear top that lets you see if you need to clean out the strainer basket. Just twist the top and pull out the basket with the convenient handle, dump and flush out the basket, reinstall, and you're back in business!

This came fast to home and was super easy to install. It filters our pool like never before! Had several fix it guys tell me that it would cost hundreds more but I did this myself and I’m 78!. Purchased a slightly larger than my poolSizeNeeded and I think that was a good thought as I barely have to clean our pool now as this filter does a supreme job.

As soon as I unboxed this item the better quality pieces were evident. Parts fit together very well and the pump is powerful. It is everything I was looking for in a pool pump filter combo.
