Ladder is smaller than expected. Rungs are really tiny suitable for canary or finch more so than lovebirds or budgies.

I like these ladders because my parrots like them. They walk and perch on them, and they chew the wood until the ladders are just one stick with very short remnants of rungs sticking out.The reason for three stars instead of four or five is that they could/should be thicker wood like the ones I bought locally before a homeless person burned down the store, but of course then the ladders would last longer and Penn-Plax wouldn't sell as many replacements.I'll order a thicker ladder next time, if I can find one on Amazon.

My mom's birds love it. To them, it's part of a racetrack, Silly finches.

The birds love it no more birds hanging off side of cage, they climb to top of cage easily. For cockatiels and budgies

I bought a few of these for both of my birds (Cockatiel and parrotlet) and they love using them to walk up and down their cages. They also love chewing them but that’s besides the point lol and I love that there’s so many different sizes so they fit on various platforms that allow the birds to use them to get the different areas of their cage when they’re in their cage

Does it’s job. Bird goes up and bird goes down. Like any ladder.

The mission: I needed to get an 18" wooden bird ladder. In fact, I needed to buy two of these, to use for two rockin' cockatiels in a tall cage. They would be replacements for two well-chewed, well-loved 18" wooden ladders I've been trying to find replacements for, for about eight months now---locally at first, and finally on Amazon. This is actually the second time I purchased a pair of 18", nine-rung ladders for birds on Amazon in the last six months. Just as before, they sent 13" ladders. They are too short, I simply can't use them, won't work. I don't know if it's the same seller as before, it probably is---frankly, I didn't check, which is my fault. Penn Plax was the product brand then, and now. But upon buying this latest pair, I just figured, I'll make sure I read REALLY CAREFULLY to see if they are the right size. I did read carefully, just as I had before. (The first pair of "wrong-size" ladders I decided to keep and put aside, because I anticipate getting a budgie and can use them in THAT cage. I didn't complain, just dealt.)But I still need the 18" wooden bird ladders for the 'tiels. I can't find them. Not in local stores, not on Amazon. If they are scarce, they are scarce, I can understand that, I'm not looking for miracles here. But what is the problem with accurately describing the product being sold? Change your description on Amazon to reflect what you are ACTUALLY SELLING.It takes FOREVER to get anything nowadays. At least you could be accurate in what you are selling if we're going to have to wait and wait. Perhaps this item is not listed correctly in the warehouse. Whatever. FIX IT.I won't be looking for 18" bird ladders on Amazon anymore, even if you do fix it, no offense. I'm done with bird ladders on Amazon. If it isn't available from the manufacturer directly or from a store locally, I'm not buying it.

They were well made ladders and these may do wonderfully for their intended purpose, however, we used these for our rats in their cage and they were able to chew through all the rungs and the sides within 2 days.My ratties are more on the smaller scale and there are 3 of them but I was kind of amazed of how quickly they got through it all, was hoping that since these ladders were meant for bird cages that the wood would of been a little more on the hard side and lasted longer but oh well, you don't have rats and expect to keep things for very long. Lol

Good quality, but I forgot to measure the length and ordered too short so I gave them to my neighbor who has birds.
