Ordered 2 of these, one was fine, except the tape leaves a very sticky residue on the wood, and the other one I ordered was broken. Wood seems cheap quality, assembling it into the cage was easy. Not able to contact seller or ask for a refund for the broken one.

Ladder is built good, design and sturdy, love the sand perch steps unique don’t see that in these types of ladders usually..…but why would you use a wood lacquer or some kind of treatment on the platform for a smooth shinny surface? Any surface treatment could be chemical harmful or at the least make wood to durable to break apart easy and could hurt bird as they will chew wood eventually.. I had to sand down the platform to bare wood to use it to be safe.. still little concerned about wood treatment after seeing platform coating so that does make me hesitate another buy without seller commenting about it.

This item it made of cheap, CNC machined, varnished wood and feel apart when I tried to install it. I don't know if it was damaged in shipping or what, but it broke when I removed the taped on baggie of bolts, washers, and wingnuts to try attaching it to my pet's cage. This is after I spent an eternity removing the plastic shrink wrap from each and every ladder step and still not being able to get it all. So not only was the packaging immensely frustrating, it broke before I could even try using it. The screws are also not all flush with the surface, leaving spaces that can catch on feathers, fur, or toe nails and cause animals to panic and injure themselves. Cannot recommend this product to anyone.
