This seagrass mat is SUPER easy to clean and is actually pretty sturdy! It’s pretty big and I eventually needed to take it out of my birds cage because it got so much poop on it though. It looks much bigger than in the picture and it is worth the pay! I like this perch because 1: it is COMPLETELY natural and won’t hurt your bird (not by physically touching it or chewing it) ! And 2: it works super nice as a perch!UPDATE: it also looks super great in my bean’s cage :)

We moved our pigeon into a cage that has both high flat surfaces and lower perches, and being the genius that she is, she could not figure out how to get from the surfaces to the perches. I guess it was a little too much like falling for her, or something. We tried a bird ladder but pigeons aren't really built for ladders the way that parrots are, and even at a very slight angle, she couldn't make it work. We needed a bridge that would somehow allow her to get below the surfaces so she could fly to the perches. This did the trick. We didn't use the cheap plastic clips because our cage isn't set up that way, so we had to screw it into two of the surfaces so it makes a sagging bridge across them, but she now hops down into it before flying to her perches and also flies back to it in order to get back to her nesting box, etc. She also loves it, and sits on it like a nest, surveying the world. I recommend!

I hang one of these vertically over the side of my rolling bird playground like a ladder, tying it on with strips of cut up towel. It makes it easy for my parrotlets to climb back up onto the playground from the floor if they fly down. They also like climbing around on it for fun, hanging off it, and chewing it. This has been a real blessing for one of my birds who has trouble with climbing things like strips of cloth. He is not very strong or coordinated compared to a regular parrotlet, I think due to inbreeding (he is a turquoise Pacific parrotlet) but he can climb this thing. Really one of the best bird items I've ever bought. It gets used every day multiple times a day in different ways.

They hop around on it, chew it, hang from it. It's a nice escape from perches and the sides of the cage. They did chew through a loop which was connected to the hook, but I just attached the hook through a different loop. Not a problem at all. Well worth it!

This is a great product. Got two of them for the three rats we just got. They absolutely love them. One of the rats is almost always found taking a nap on them as it’s his favorite place to relax for a nap. Was a little bigger than I thought for the cage I have but it’s working out great. It’s the most used item in the cage. Exceded the expectations I had for it because it’s thicker than I thought which is really nice. Only complaint would be it came with plastic clips to hang it up but I’m planning on getting metal clips to replace the plastic. Highly recommend if you have or are getting rats.

Great quality and size. Doesn’t take long for bird to destroy. One is about half the size in less than 3 months. Bird loves them and they make it easy for him to climb around.

The mat is a decent size that could hold up many cockatiels at once if needed. The connection hooks were VERY thin and flimsy plastic that I don't recommend using with your bird cause they will break and probably get swallowed, (so I'll repurpose them for cable management somewhere bird-free, cause I try not to be wasteful.) I only got 3/4 of the hooks too. Try to get better bird safe captive D rings somewhere else.Sooooo.... I'm only rating the actual mat 4 stars. It's a standard seagrass mat although a decent length... I turned it into a bird hammock for the *out of the cage* play area. Was considering making it a climbing wall on the outside of the flight cage so they can get in and out easier. Currently my birds are a bit afraid of it, but they will get over it after a few days.

My conure loves this! He literally spends all of his in-cage time on this mat and even sleeps on it every night. Good for chewing and a nice little “magic carpet”/fort for birdies. Will purchase again when he finally destroys this.

I use these for my rats, i reorder regularly since the rats do chew them. They are flexible and versatile. The hanging clips it comes with are useless. My rats chew through them immediately
