good ladders, but my quakers and conures tend to chew these up pretty fast, its a great toy, the kakariki don't seem to break them into pieces, so for parakeets and cockatiels this would be a great way to have them last, otherwise its a great toy for your birds to enjoy!

I have an older cockatiel that sometimes has a hard time climbing the vertical bars of his flight cage and getting up to his perches; these ladders were perfect for him to climb. The four different sizes made it easy for me to create a horizontal path from the bottom of the cage to his favorite perch. It's nice to see him moving around the cage easier and he seems happier.They are made of wood, so the hookbills will eventually chew them up, but they do that to pretty much everything anyway, and at less than $10 for 4 ladders, it's a good deal. There's no varnish, stain, or finishing of any kind, so they're not toxic. I probably wouldn't suggest them for larger parrots, but they're great for parakeets and cockatiels.
