I tend to always wash toys and perches before I give them to my feathered friends. This ladder was the perfect size for my red lored amazon, but while washing the colors did bleed. I just rinsed it for about 5 minutes until color stopped coming off. The ladder still looks vibrant and bright. Smooth finish makes wiping it down a breeze. Overall it is a great purchase

This item came in pieces and my husband needed to glue every single rung on both sides. I see that another person said the same thing. It's not like this would be overlooked by the company or packer, as it's in a clear plastic bag so it's obvious. Gluing it was not a big deal, but that's not right.

I was very disappointed that this ladder came in parts. If it was glued, it must of been glued by air. I ordered 2 of them and both had to be reglued. Other then that, the rungs and side pieces were nice and thick.

My four budgies use this ladder occationally to hangout on the top of it but never climb up from the bottom. They'll just fly up from the bottom if they're down there. A very well made bird ladder with colors that accent the Booda perches in the cage. The only problem is there's bird droppings all over the thing every other week and if I never cleaned it the whole thing would be all white eventually.
