I thought I would like the metal ladders better because they are easier to clean than wood, but they are too slippery for my birds to properly grasp them. I had to remedy this with some athletic tape.

These stainless steel ladders are surprisingly lightweight! They have a pretty silver finish and are completely smooth. The width is appropriate for small to medium birds. The thickness is larger so it can accommodate larger birds easily. These are well made and I like how easy they are to clean. This material is easy to wipe down, wash in the sink or soak as needed. Being stainless steel, the ladders also don’t breed germs like some other more porous materials can.

While the ladders are a good size for our cockatoo, the issue is they didn’t come with the hooks shown… not attached, not in the wrapper. They were sealed up well so the is no way they slipped out of the plastic as it didn’t look tampered with but now I have to locate hook that will fit to even use them.
