I bought this to move logs off the pile so that I can cut them. I have a log jack that looks much like it except that it has a foot to hold the log off the ground. The log jack has a nicely shaped point that bites into the log and doesn't slip. The peavey has a straight knife (although blunt) edge that doesn't bit in and frequently slips. It is better than using the log jack to turn the log since the foot doesn't get in the way, but I just wish that the hook had a better edge or point.

The handle immediately broke. The wood had worm holes in it making it compromised before ever being used. It broke in the very first use of a reasonable size log that would have been no problem for a better made product.
