The item had been previously returned by someone else, it still had the return label on it with the party’s name.The paint was chipped from one end to the other, and paint chips fell to the floor when the package was opened.The two piece handle couldn’t be screwed together. A grinding stone had to be used on the female end to enlarge it so it could be put together.The support piece between the handle and the foot piece had to be ground so it would fit in the attachment on the handle.Fortunately, we had the knowledge and tools to do this and decided it was easier than going through the hoops to return it.We like the design of this tool and it will work as it should, but there should’ve been more care in manufacturing and shipping.

Don’t buy the smaller versions that only have a 13-15” throat. They are fine until you hit that 16” log and it is 100% useless. This thing will handle small and large logs quite nicely. Glad I returned the other and super happy with this one.

Seems like a solidly made timberjack, something I'd been considering for a while and pulled the trigger after a recent storm took down some large limbs and blocked our road. Unfortunately, while all parts were present, assembly was straight forward, when I got to screwing the two handle parts together they wouldn't! About a single thread would engage and not go any further. I inspected the threads that were exposed on the end piece and they looked fine, down in the main tube I can't tell if anything is amiss or not. Certainly not safe to use this way, it will not hold up. Its on its way back.

I needed to cut up some trees so I purchased this item. Upon arrival I discovered once again it came with the bare bolts and nuts needed from china. I began to put it together the handle broke, I was able to fight with it and get it to work. ( Not happy) The welds were poor and the tolerances were also poor with enough play to concern my use of the tool. I added the washers as needed to help and will put it to use this week , wish me luck, I feel I may need it. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Seems like quality is ok. The box was smashed. No instructions included. I’ll try and figure it out but would not recommend anyone else buy this.

The timber jack did exactly what it was supposed to do. It easily lifts log off the ground to make it easier to saw with a chainsaw.

The lift is too high. If the log is big enough to need this. Then it is too heavy to lift this high. Removed the stand and use to turn the logs.
