This salt water tester is well made with high quality materials. It's easy to use, accurate, and the numbers are large and easy to see. It works as intended and is worth the cost.

We got this tester for our saltwater pool, which is a 15 foot above ground pool in our yard. We also purchased a chemical test kit to be able to test for all of the other stuff that this tester doesn't cover, such as alkalinity and free chlorine levels in the pool water. First off I will assure people that this tester is very accurate when it comes to PH levels. We figured this out by testing the PH levels using the chemical testing kit, and then using this meter to test for PH as well. We found that the number on the tester was the same as using the chemical test kit, so that was enough proof for us of its accuracy. This tester has also been very useful with measuring the salinity levels in the water, because the chemical testing kit doesn't test for that. So together, this tester and the chemical testing kit work well to measure all the different levels of everything to keep the pool in balance. This tester is convenient to use as well, very easy to just dip the end in the water. It's best to test in a few different spots in the pool, just to make sure your levels are consistent everywhere, and we have found that we get the most accurate results when we hold the tester in the water for about 30 seconds. Overall, a really good and accurate tester, even though it doesn't test for all the chemicals you need to keep in balance in a pool.

So what i received was a 2 in 1 tester, if you could call it that. Apparently on the back of the box there is over 15 variations of this device and the one i got simply tells you the temperature and ph level of the water, but only when you mix the included packets into the water with it, and you only get 1 packet.

This tester works but it is not overly accurate. It does help me keep my water quality good and it is easy to use. I just wish the testor performed better in the accuracy department. For the price this is not a bad water tester. Thank you.

As a proud caretaker of a saltwater fish tank, I was thrilled to get my hands on this electronic water tester, ready to become the aquatic scientist my fish and coral deserved (or at least pretend to be one). This nifty gadget promised to test TDS, salinity, pH, temperature, and more. It sounded like a dream come true. Well, almost.First, the good news: it nails TDS, pH, and temperature readings with impressive accuracy. I tip my hat to its precision in these areas. Now, the bad news: salinity measurements are a different story. My trusty, calibrated device shows my tank at a healthy 36 PPT, but this tester seems to think it’s only 30 PPT. That’s not just a minor discrepancy—it’s like calling a mountain a molehill. If you’re looking for "ballpark" figures, this tester is your go-to gadget. But if you need scientific-grade accuracy to make proper maintenance decisions, you might want to keep looking. It’s like relying on a weather app that tells you it’s either sunny or possibly a hurricane outside. The tester does come with pH packets for calibration, which is a nice touch. But without any instructions for calibrating salinity, it feels like giving me a precise measuring cup for flour while letting the salt shaker run wild.In conclusion, while this tester is great for some basic readings, its salinity inaccuracy makes it hard to trust for serious saltwater tank maintenance. I’d give it two stars—because in the world of saltwater fish and coral, accuracy is everything, and this gadget just doesn't make the cut.

Pretty close to other testers I’ve tried when compared side by side

Readings for my salt level taken with this tester from the skimmer, match with the readings from the pool control panel. I needed this verification as my salt cell quit last month and my salt level is very high. This gives me confidence that the new salt cell is working properly. I also use the Ph setting. Wish it read chlorine too.

This looks like every other water tester I have which makes it a little confusing when you are standing in the hot sun trying to test the pool water. This one measures salinity and pH, but another tests chlorine. I suggest looking for a model that tests all of them in one if you have a salt water pool. It seems to register pretty well and is a lot easier to read than the color on a paper strip.Seems like a perfectly good choice for a meter as long as you pay attention to what it is testing.
