I ordered this salinity tester for my saltwater setup, mainly to ensure the right salinity for my brine shrimp culture. Unfortunately, when it arrived, the packaging was pretty beat up, and the tester itself had a small crack. Despite that, it still functioned properly, and I was able to get accurate readings to keep my brine shrimp thriving. While I wish it had been packaged better to avoid damage in transit, the product itself works as intended. If you’re considering this, just be aware that shipping protection might not be the best.

Good directions despite already knowing how to use. The stand helps since you can sample and leave for the required 5 minutes to obtain an accurate read.

I used this to measure the salinity of my water for my brackish living fish. The apparatus was easy to use after I watched a video on how to use one. The numbers on the apparatus are small, my child was not able to make out the numbers accurately.

I been aiming at 1.023 but when I went to get my water tested it was measured at 1.030. So I ended up getting the other one where you point it towards the light. Each salt mixes different but once I got my water down to 1.023, it measured about 1.018 to 1.020 on the hygger's manual one.
