We really like this light kit. It was a challenge to put up and came with useless instructions, but luckily my husband found a YouTube video that helped to explain the process. They aren't super-bright so they can't be used as a patio light replacement, but do provide a nice glow that adds a nice touch to our patio setup.

Does the job lighting up the patio table for dinner after dark! And it lights up the surrounding patio nicely (along with my fence lights) a bit tedious on the install, but once you become a zen master of the mini zip ties, you'll be made in the shade! Start with one on any arm from the farthest point of the umbrella, then just follow your own lead, it gets easier as you go. I opted to not tie them to the middle of the umbrella arms, saving time and zip ties if needed for later. I think the lights hanging lower (instead of tied up to the arms) looks nicer (and lights the table a little better also) win-win! Regarding appearance, the way it all looks when installed is a bit of a stringy, unappealing look - but that's what we get with this product, and it's not a deal breaker for me, just personal preference. Lights well! Three different brightness levels and a bunch of colors controlled by the remote control. A nice addition to Roy & Letty's Hideaway! (My patio - named after my Grandparents) Cheers to them, and to you!

I ordered these lights because they would be perfect for my patio umbrella. They arrived, I put batteries in and checked everything out before I started the installation. The zip ties were too small and I had to use ones that I already had. I installed with lights on to make sure that everything worked properly. All said and done, 30 minutes later and now the remote doesn't work. Can I order a new remote or get a replacement? Too much hassle to take it all back down and return it for 20 bucks.
