Just as it should be; I've a long history of using Quink that goes back to the 1960's at a school, where it was mandatory to use an ink pen for all the submitted written work.I don't know if the formulation has changed, but it's just as it has always been... except for the price. Easy to clean the nib/fountain pen, color dependable, flows as expected depending on the pen nib.

It's blue ink, not much to say. The price is good for how much you get and the bottle is glass and looks nice!

The ink initially looked too light. A day later it darkened and looked much better. It also took some effort to get the pen writing, this could be a pen issue not the ink. The ink also was delivered in very cold, sub freezing weather so it could have been damaged.

I read up on ink brands and this seemed to be one of the overall top ones - and I have to agree. It's way more ink than you think so it lasts awhile. It also writes pretty smoothly.I am not a fountain pen afficionado though so take that as you will. It fits my purposes.

First bottle of ink and it was super easy. I was careful with the ink converter and made no mess. This ink flows smoothly, no drops, good color. It was more then I expected

This is my first fountain pen ink, purchased for the Pilot Petit1 fountain pen. the plan was to refill the original Pilot Petit cartridges using a syringe. Compared to the petit default ink, this ink seems to run a little drier, and produces a somewhat thinner line. I can also feel a lot more feedback ("resistance") using this ink than using the Petit ink, but it's still smoother than my Muji gel pens, so I cannot complain. The ink dries quickly, in my experience- about 2 seconds before a finger cannot smudge it on cheap notebook paper and copier paper. On 75g "premium" paper, it takes a little longer. This ink is not waterproof either, but it didn't advertise itself as being so.While the ink writes smoothly and without feathering on cheap paper, I find that the ink fades significantly after a few days. This may be because of the cheapo paper I usually write on, but it goes from a nice dark black to a washed-out blue. It's not terrible, but it's definitely worse than the swatches you can see when you google the color online. On further thought, it may have been because the petit1 uses a wick feed, which may stem the flow of ink when I write incredibly fast.I bought this for $5.47 on the Amazon used store at "Like New" condition. I did not detect anything wrong with my bottle, but the paper packaging it came in was kind of wrinkled. Not a big deal. Some people have issues getting the bottle open. I did too, but what I did is run the cap of the bottle under a hot tap (you can also fill a container of really hot water and place the ink bottle upside down in it to expand the metal cap). Then I used a jar opener rubber cloth thing to turn it open, and it did so without any fuss.

I normally use Diamine, J. Herbin, Lamy, Pelikan, Pilot, and Waterman inks. The price was right on this Parker Quink Black, so I decided to give it a try. I knew that this ink had been around forever, so it couldn't be terrible. I'm actually quite pleased with this ink. I wasn't looking for a waterproof or bulletproof ink, either (this ink is neither). Just a nice ink for journaling and taking down quick notes. Right now I'm using it in my Jinhao 601 with a fine/medium nib. My Jinhao is a bit of a wet pen, and I think that this Quink is a little on the dry side, so pen and ink work very well together. It's a nice black color with hints of blue, not super black but not particularly gray either. I didn't want a super black blackety black. I have a Sharpie and ballpoints for that. The black color will have a lot to do with your choice of pen and nib size. A fine-nibbed dry writer will make this ink appear grayer. This ink has become one of my top favorite inks. One thing I like about it that others may or may not like is that it shades. Yes, this black ink shades! Much like Montblanc Mystery Black, which I also like. The fact that this ink shades is a dead give away that I wrote something with a fountain pen, which is cool. There's just something about this ink that I really, really like. I have tried this ink in many of my pens and haven't been disappointed. This ink is not a super saturated ink like Noodler's with lots of bells and whistles, but I think this is what I like about it. Noodler's has its place, as does Parker Quink Black. This is one of those well-behaved inks that won't harm any pen. And, this ink is very, very easy to clean out of pens. Parker Quink Black has become an excellent go-to daily ink for me. Lately I have also been using this ink in my Parker Frontier with a fine nib and love the combo. Very smooth. Thumbs up!
