This was exactly what I needed to keep my daughter out of my office. The screws are too tiny for any real security, but it was perfect for my needs.

Secures cabinet contents from all but determined, destructive removal. Unit is simple, quick, and easy to install with just a standard Phillips screwdriver. Can be locked without the key (key to un-lock). Some reviewers suggest longer screws would help resist someone prying off the lock assembly...yes, but most cabinet doors are not thick enough to accomodate longer screws and that may still leave door hinges subject to a malevolent prybar. The locked hasp clearly shows owner intent: "Contents of this Cabinet are off limits." This product should effectively discourage all but the most sinister entry.

The hasp seems sturdy enough. The screws that are provided will not keep the hasp from being pried off of the surface. 1/2 inch screws will not resist a pry bar. Plan to go to a local hardware store to buy longer screws. I installed one hasp with machine screws, lock nuts, and a backer plate on the other side of the shed door.
