Description says "...Hasp Latch Catch Lock...". It gets 1 out of 4 because it does have a hasp. However, it doesn't latch, catch or lock, at least not reliably. The hasp springs back because it does not align properly will the ball detent. Utterly useless

I tried to put them on a resin trinket box but didn't work very well. But for something wood they would be perfect.

I made a travel marble game and needed a small latch to keep it closed. These are perfect for this application and look great. Each side is 5/8" thick and it worked nicely.
