Ideal for the backyard gardener.I don't live on a lot of land — just a residential lot — and I have about eight raised beds and some containers for vegetable gardening in my back yard. Since we have oak trees that drop leaves every year and garden waste at the end of the season, and since I decided I'd try to do something with kitchen scraps other than putting them down the disposal, I bought one of these. It's easy to snap together, sturdy and unobtrusive, and sits in a corner of the yard. 80 gallons is a LOT of kitchen scraps and yard/garden waste, and it's surprising how quickly it can break down into rich compost. I'm not a "green" guy, an organic fanatic, or an environmentalist, but this is a simple way to make something useful of renewable resources that would otherwise end up in a landfill.

This composter box was quite a bit less expensive than most of the other choices but it assembled pretty easily and serves the purpose. It was a good value!

Its a container to start compost, its a little flimsy and the lower door is not a great design. You can make one out of a trash can, plenty of DIY instructions to do this. All the reviews showing the corners coming apart, its from assembly not squeezing the parts firmly until the tabs click into place. This requires some real effort. This composter was purchased to process chicken bedding, manure, feathers and other waste associated with keeping backyard chickens.

I wanted to love this, but it is horrible and a complete waste of money. It's just a waste of plastic garbage. You can't turn the compost and the little flimsy slide door is almost impossible to close once you open it. Wish I could return, but way past return date. Poor construction and design
I bought it!

Easy to put together and has held up well. The little slide doors could use some tweaking as any movement they are quick to come off. If you have a designated spot, they should be fine as you load up the bin.

Update from my original review. After a year of owning this bin I would not recommend it to any serious composter. Once the bin is half full the bottom door cannot hold the weight and will pop right off. You can only use half the bin at any one time. For the price, this compost bid was constructed as I would expect. Another reviewer wrote "if you live where you have wind the item will blow". To stop this happening I used 6" garden staples through the bottom air slots to anchor it. I also kept the base of my previous compost bin since this one does not come it one. It would be nice to have a new base.

Bin arrived quickly and packaging was in good shape. Pieces snapped together easily without tools. Bin was light enough for me to easily carry to where I wanted it located. Product is exactly as advertised.
