I've never recieved the results and it's been 2 months since I posted the test to them. I'd be very annoyed if I'd paid rather than receiving this under the Vine programme.The item description shows 'Labrador Retriever' but the test is actually for any dog, it is not restricted only to labradors.I was looking forward to finding out more about my dog, but it's been radio silence for 2 months. I will of course update this review if something suddenly arrives.

This is the product to get if you want a full DNA analysis of your beloved dog. The instructions are simple but not exactly detailed. After creating an account from their website, register the barcode, take the swabs and put them in your dog’s mouth cheek, hold the cheek around the swab and rotate it thoroughly to get the swab covered in DNA. You then seal these in a bag, add the barcode sticker, put it in the envelope prided, send it away and wait. I activated my swabs on 14th May and posted them at the main post office after swabbing my drooling Labrador. I did not hear anything until 16th June to confirm that samples were received. It took until 7th July to be notified that there was insufficient DNA and to re-order swabs for free, and start again. To be honest, I can’t be bothered anymore. If I had paid for this, then I would have certainly done this as it is a lot of money.I am curious to know how some reviewers can review this product without even trying it out, just going by the advertising spiel.If you are curious about the DNA analysis of your canine friend and don’t mind waiting for months, then go for it.

This is taking weeks and weeks to provide results. I sent it off a few weeks ago now so the turnaround time is quite long.I found the process of swabbing my dog very tricky. She was most unhappy about having her mouth swabbed. I wish before I committed I'd had a few practice goes. If I were to do it again I'd spend a few days prior to the test training her each day with a cotton bud and treats, get her into the habbit and the when she was ready undertake the test using the proper swab without treats. I went straight for it unfortunately. Lessons learnt.The website is frustrating. Each time I log in I get an error code and have to log in and out numerous times and then navigate back to the website and eventually get in. The website doesn't tell me if they've received the test back just results not ready. So I assume they have.The test kit didn't strike me as very professional. I've done a similar test on myself and those included special tubes for transit. This was just put it back in the bag it came in and place in the envelope.I'll update this review when I get the results back. But for now I'm quite unimpressed.

Easy enough to do, the box looks well presented with lots of information. I have a kc registered lab so interested in what this brings back.... It's been about a month since I sent it off and I've not had anything at all so far not even a confirmation of tracking or anything like that... I'll update when I get something? So so far it's a 2 star as id expect some kind of tracking so far.

Absolutely love the concept of this DNA test and I’m really looking forward to getting the results back. Registering the kit was very easy, scanned the QR code and followed the online instructions and filled in the relevant information.There was another QR code with a link to a video showing how to take the swap, again very straight forward, nothing too confusing. My dog was happy for me to do the tests.I have sent off the swab and currently awaiting the results, this will take 25 business days from when they arrive there. I will track this and update this review.
