Fast Selection Species Settings
With simple up/down arrow buttons, your Orion meter can be easily and quickly set for the wood species you need to measure. Plus, the range of settings accommodates practically any softwood or hardwood species in the world. The Orion 950 can also be user-configured to measure some non-solid wood products such as plywood, OSB, or MDF. The Orion line even has settings information for many bamboo flooring products.
Virtually Unaffected by Temperature
Every Orion pinless meter is virtually unaffected by the temperature of the wood or the environment. Unlike pin meters, Orion’s sensing technology does not need correction or adjustment to account for the temperature of the wood.

After not being happy with this purchase the company issued a refund but didn't refund the shipping cost after saying they would. Very misleading and untrustworthy.I wouldn't recommend purchasing anything from them.

You need this device/machine if you are working with wood. It will not make holes in your wood like other devices.Extremely accurate readings and a must for checking moisture content in wood.I rate this device 5/5 stars.

Als professioneller Tischler lege ich großen Wert auf genaue Feuchtigkeitsmessungen, und dieses Gerät liefert genau das.Die Messgenauigkeit des Orion 930 ist hervorragend. Egal, ob ich Hartholz, Weichholz oder exotische Holzarten messe, die Ergebnisse sind stets präzise und zuverlässig. Das Gerät ist werkskalibriert und lässt sich für verschiedene Holzarten leicht einstellen, was die Messungen noch genauer macht.Die Bedienung ist intuitiv und benutzerfreundlich. Das große, gut ablesbare Display zeigt die Feuchtigkeitswerte klar und deutlich an. Besonders hilfreich finde ich die Tiefenmessungstechnologie, die Messungen bis zu einer Tiefe von 19 mm ermöglicht. So kann ich sicherstellen, dass das gesamte Holzstück die richtige Feuchtigkeit hat und nicht nur die Oberfläche.Das robuste Gehäuse des Orion 930 macht einen sehr soliden Eindruck. Es ist gut geschützt und hält auch den rauen Bedingungen auf Baustellen oder in der Werkstatt stand. Die Batterielaufzeit ist bemerkenswert lang, sodass ich über längere Zeit hinweg zuverlässig arbeiten kann, ohne ständig die Batterien wechseln zu müssen.Insgesamt bin ich extrem zufrieden mit dem Wagner Orion 930 Holzfeuchtemessgerät. Recently purchased this moisture meter, after reading a substantial number of reviews and comparisons between different meters and option for measuring the drying of hardwood lumber for woodworking. Comes well packaged and padded in its own hard plastic case, which includes the wood specific density guide, instructions and a device specific calibration plate. Took it out for measurements over the past couple of days to my piles of hard maple, walnut, oak, hickory and cherry, and a few home center 2x4s and had measurements done promptly, accurately (based on what I knew about the lumbers age and drying history), and easily - a real breeze to use. Very happy with how simple it is to change to specific density to adjust between species and I can see this being an asset to my lumber purchases for years to come.
