I bought these to make mini bread loaves of sourdough to gift to single friends. They are the perfect size for one or two people, and I may actually make more of my own loaves this way, since we tend to not quite finish a bigger loaf before it goes stale. The only thing I wish they had was a dome lid, but I can live without. I found the apartment paper method works best with them.

After dinner at an upscale restaurant, where they served mashed potatoes in identical cast iron pots, we had to have a set for ourselves. The crust all around the mashed potatoes with the soft center is just fantastic. Perfect for our needs, shipping was actually a day or two early, and having used Dutch ovens camping and at home, we were already familiar with the necessary care.

Love these! I’m notorious for breaking all of our oven safe French onion soup bowls. These are unbreakable and work great. Even my husband loves them.

My partner and I fill two 20 ounce mini dutch ovens with sliced potatoes, sliced carrots, onions, garlic, and sliced mushrooms. Add a little olive oil, salt and pepper, and put on the wood pellet grill for a generous half hour. Sooooo yummy! Easy to clean. Never use soap. Just scrub well, dry, and wipe a thin layer of oil all over the inside. Next recipe will be apple dumpling.

I ordered eight (total) of the medium 17 oz size. My purpose for purchasing was to serve soups and stews and, specifically, will be serving ratatouille with a mozzarella cheese baked on top as part of eats on Christmas Eve. When I first took it out of their individually wrapped boxes, I thought they were too small. However, these are deceiving to the eye. The medium pots hold 5 ladles worth of liquid, so I'm thrilled. I would recommend you specifically measure 17 oz (or 12 oz or 20 oz) into a similar container (cereal bowl or whatever) at home before ordering. I'm very relieved my choice worked out. If your stew is the main course, then the 20oz might give you more, but for my purposes, the 17oz is perfect.
