The quality of the soil seems good, everything felt moist without being musty. The moss was poorly mixed in, it was just two large clumps in with the other components. So far my plants seem happy in it, I repotted some baby monsteras in it and just added a bit of perlite and more bark to make it a bit chunkier!

I was looking for a small amount of soil to top off my orchid's pot and this 1 lb size was perfect. Very nice blend.

The key word here is that it's a mix - which is fantastic. It's not all bark chips or other lightweight material. There is some actual soil in there which helps to hold the orchid in place. I have tried a number of different orchid potting mixes in the past and they have so little substance that I have to add soil so that they will hold the orchid. This was perfect right out of the bag. I repotted several orchids a few weeks ago with this and they seem to be doing great. I definitely recommend this potting mix.

I've been growing orchids for years, and finding the right soil mix has always been a challenge—until now! This orchid potting mix is absolutely fantastic. It's lightweight, well-aerated, and has the perfect balance of moisture retention and drainage, which is exactly what my orchids need to thrive. The mix is clean, free of debris, and doesn't compact over time like some other brands I've tried. Plus, it’s clear that a lot of thought went into the ingredients—it’s just the right texture and composition for orchids. If you're an orchid lover like me, do yourself a favor and give this soil a try. It's worth every penny, and I'll definitely be buying it again. Highly recommend

I grow orchids and currently have about 10. Since I periodically have to repot them, I like to keep orchid potting mix on hand.Aeration amd drainage very important for orchids, which is why regular potting mix isn't appropriate. Most orchid potting mixes consist primarily of bark and moss, which allows water to drain very quickly and allows air to circulate around the roots. This mix is designed to do that job very well.In addition to bark and it includes perlite (a common soil lightener used to improve drainage), as well as peat. This is a 2 quart bag. Keep in mind that most big box stores sell 8 quart bags, so this isn't a huge volume by comparison. I'll likely mix this with other, simpler, pine-bark/moss-based orchid mix to allow me to repot a higher number of orchids.Based on the ingredients this is an excellent product: Recommended.

This orchid potting mix is awesome! For small pots, 2 quarts is more than enough. My little orchid seedling pot only used about a third of it, so I've got plenty left. The quality is fantastic—just like the description says—with a perfectly balanced mix of four materials. My orchid seedlings are thriving! Given the quality, this is definitely worth the buy. If you're using bigger pots, I'd recommend going for a larger size to make sure you have enough. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-notch orchid soil!
