This is a very plug-and-play system. You find a plug near your watering hub, plug it in and make sure it has WiFi connection by using the app, and its good to go. I could go into detail about how I think Orbit could improve their application, but for the sake of reviewing this product; It couldn't be simpler. My only complaints are price and the time it took to receive this product.

i was hesitant about ordering this based on some of the negative reviews here. My experience has been great though. in the middle of the second floor on a 3200sq ft house it reaches hose bib's at the front corner and rear corner of the house just fine with Bluetooth.I had to repair it, and it was a bit awkward because instead of pressing and holding the pair button you have to press the pair button 5 time rapidly, which is not common for Bluetooth pairing. And I had to actually search for that online because it was not included with the direction that came with the device. I had to repair because I initially set it up at an outlet at the front of my house outside the range to reach the back hose bib. That was my fault for being out of range of one of the devices during initial install, I knew it was way too far away to reach the back of the house. so I'm not going to ding them for what would have been a flawless install, if I had been less of a bonehead, myself.The performance of the device makes up for the lack of reset instructions included.

It works but you need to have it within 100 feet of the actual spigot/timer units. The app lets you have multiple hubs though. So get two if you have a front and back yard like me.

This was very quick and easy to setup. I'm glad I can finally control my bhyve water timer via wifi. Plus I get notifications on my phone and watch. It will automatically set rain delays based off the weather in the area. This isn't always accurate, because it might be raining 30 miles south of me, but never rains here. But it's a nice feature to have, and it does tell you when it sets it so you know if you need to override it.

This was really easy to set up. Works great and now I can control my system remotely as well as monitor the system battery. I set this up using the app. The app guides you through it by first selecting to add a device. Then the directions aren’t even needed.

I had 2 4-Outlet B-Hyve XD timers, they work good, but the bluetooth connection was a little cumbersome. I also like the idea of having control away from home. I received the hub, it was easy to setup. The app froze during setup and I thought I was going to have to start the setup over but it was fine. The hub connected immediately to my timers. I haven't tried the setup away from home yet, and with it being January I haven't used it to water anything but I expect the timers to function properly.
