I purchased this back in January and it broke the first time I used it. They replaced it and the new one broke after I used it about 6 times. They both broke in the exact same spot, the welding just came loose. Food mills should last a lifetime, not break after being used a couple of times.

Basic food mill. Good quality.

For the most part it works as advertised. However, the blade does not completely touch the bottom of the pan, leaving behind some of what ever you're milling. The little wire nut-scraper on the outside bottom does not completely scrape everything away. It is fairly useful but for mashed potatoes it's not ideal. Next time I'll upgrade to something a little better.

I purchased this for a gift for my DIL, as it's exactly like the one I have been using for 25+ years. This is built to last, and does a fabulous job. My DIL is using it for making her own apple sauce, as it's the easiest and fastest way to make it, and I'm sure she's going to love it for many other purposes as well.

purchased as a gift for my sister-in-law. she saw the one i had and thought it was perfect for her freezing/canning that she would be doing this season. not sure if she has used it so i can't say how well it works. felt like it was pretty sturdy. i use mine for making large batches of deviled eggs. also use for making applesauce---doesn't let any seeds or hard pieces of core that you miss get thru

I have used a Foley Food Mill and thought I would save a few dollars and buy this online as it looked the same! It is almost unuseable. I wish I could return it! The factory weld under the handle is broken, the weld has been put in at a angle that makes it impossible to seat the handle properly, the lips that hold it on to the bowl/pot are too close together and it did not fit one of twenty pots and bowls in my kitchen! I tried to make applesauce with it today and what a mess. It took two of us to just get some of it done. This product is substandard and needs to go back to the drawing board in China(I didn't know that was the country of origin). It is not sturdy and will not hold up. I am going to call the company on Monday as I bought it in the summer and now my apples are ripe but I have passed the return date! Do NOT buy this product. It is a waste of your money. It took two of us to make it work badly and process some of the apples I had already cooked. I am very disappointed in this product. If you are a serious cook or just starting out processing your own food, buy a Foley or another Italian food mill that is made so it actually works! This item will not and you will be as frustrated and angry at yourself for purchasing it as I am today!

It is the time of the year finally when I will really use this food mill. It is just like my grandmother's and mother's. I use it for home canning of tomatoes into juice. It has a little nut on the bottom with a wire that scrapes around the bottom as the mill is pushing down on the inside. It is made exactly like the one that I know is 50 years old. I was so excited to find and now have my own! A little higher than I wanted to pay but still cheaper than anything I had found in the specialty store because you can't just find this on any shelf.Looking forward to my garden produce to become available for harvest so I can use this mill!

I grew up with a Folley food mill in the house and I had one in my own house for at least the past 25 years if not longer. I moved about 1 1/2 years ago and unless it's still in an unpacked box it might have fallen victim to the lost treasure category. I needed to use it for the holiday cranberry applesauce and since I couldn't find it I tried to replace it. I couldn't find a Folley on Amazon so I went with a product that I thought was closest to it.It works much the same but it is much more flimsy in construction. This one is made in China and my sense is that it won't last all that long but until it falls apart it will do. In the meantime, I'm still looking to see if I can find a true Folley.
