Must say I’m very impressed with this product. Love the fact you can charge it directly from your phone while vlogging. Super cool and easy setup. I’m looking forward to getting out and making content with it.

Easy to synchronize with my phone—no need for a cable. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly. However, as another reviews mentioned, it’s a slow to display the live picture. That said, it helps position you correctly in front of the back camera, so it serves its purpose. Still, it falls short of a full 5-star rating.

Clunky pairing process since you have to connect the phone to the screen WiFi, scan the QR code using the phone to go to the settings page, select the WiFi network, then start screen mirroring on the phone. They should make it connect to the last known WiFi on startup. Also no sound comes out of the phone or Bluetooth when mirroring so you can’t hear during playback.

Works as required. Battery charges kind of slowly, but it works with my phone quite well. Works like the YouTube videos.

I recently purchased this with high hopes of improving my content creation. While the concept of using the rear camera for selfies and vlogs is innovative, my experience with the product has been far from smooth, especially due to a severe delay when connected via wire. The magnetic phone holder clip mount is a great feature, as it securely holds the phone in place, allowing for easy adjustment. The monitor screen is also a nice touch, providing a larger, clearer view than the phone’s small display. It's compatible with iPhones, which worked well in terms of ease of connection and flexibility for my device. However, the main problem I encountered was the significant lag when the device was connected via wire. Upon connecting my phone to the monitor, the screen displayed a severe delay in real-time actions. Whether I was adjusting my frame, switching between apps, or even moving my phone, there was a noticeable and frustrating lag. This delay made it extremely difficult to keep up with the recording process, as I could no longer rely on real-time feedback to see myself or interact with viewers. The lag was particularly concerning when trying to do fast-paced content such as TikTok videos, where precise timing and fluid motion are essential. The wire connection, which is usually meant to provide more stability than wireless setups, somehow exacerbated the issue. The delay was long enough to disrupt the flow of my content and make it nearly impossible to maintain a natural pace. While the monitor itself does provide a clear display once the lag subsides, the severe delay undermines its utility for live streaming or vlogging.

I bought the “MAX” version bc it claimed to have a wired connection, but apparently that’s not the case. I contacted Newmowa and they confirmed it does not support wired connection with iOS 18 but that they are releasing something (either a different product or software support) for iOS 18 “next month”(If you do connect the product and your phone via USB C cable, it displays a “please connect the device” message)So I’m taking off a couple of stars because the marketing for the MAX version on here clearly states that it supports a wired connectionBUT the wireless connection is amazing on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Absolutely minimal lag at all. I don’t know how much lag the other reviewers on here had with the “normal” (non-MAX) version of the product, but my product had almost imperceptible lag via wireless connection. Truly impressive tbh. Also the Bluetooth remote control that came with the MAX version seemed quite robust with a variety of options and things it can do. I didn’t test it a lot though. So if you’re looking for an easy-to-use wireless version with minimal lag, I recommend the MAX version. If you’re looking for a wired version, you’ll have to keep waiting for now (late Sept 2024)Personally, I’m going to return this product and wait for the wired version / support that’s supposedly coming in the future.Ps - as other reviewers have noted, it is a tad bit annoying to connect this product wirelessly. You have to disconnect from your normal WiFi (let’s say you’re at home or something), connect to the product’s own WiFi field it generates, then go to screen sharing and connect that way. I wish I didn’t have to disconnect from my normal wifi. But once it’s connected, it works flawlessly. Also, I didn’t test it extensively since my main priority was a wired connection, but I did possibly notice that the longer it was connected, the more noticeable the lag became. Not sure if it was just my imagination though. Some reviewers on here mentioned that it possibly becomes more de-synced as time goes on, so that’s something to be aware of. You may need to reset the connection to reset the lag / desync. Or maybe they’ve fixed that issue in the MAX version.Hoping that the wired version will resolve these minor issues. Would be a truly remarkable product if so.
