the microphone DOES NOT work when plugged into the phone. your phone will detect it as a headphone and it will not record sound. the tripod has very few angles you can adjust to and the light does not come charged

I use this for recording my YouTube videos. It’s great. Real love the brightness and sturdiness of it. Really easy to set up and functional. Really worth spending my money.

I almost returned this because I thought it was defective. After putting a AAA battery in the mic and 2 AA batteries in the light, I was ready to test. But I couldn't get the lights on.The tripod is stable and comfortable to hold, but I will probably use a heavier duty tripod I have.The mic works fine, but I don't think it's really any better than the one on the phone. Maybe it helps you look a little more professional, and maybe the windscreen helps with some noise, but it isn't dramatically better audio.To turn on the light you have to hold the button for much longer than you'd think. I thought they didn't work, but once you figure it out, it's super bright and does what you'd think. It's almost too bright. Itd be nice if it came with a little diffuser.Overall I'll get some use out of these parts. Though I'll likely upgrade before long.
