My daughter is learning how to crochet. I'm a knitter, but totally unfamiliar with crocheting, so she and I sat together on the couch, trying to familiarize ourselves with this new craft. Thankfully, there's plenty of yarn for trial and error, and the yarn is pretty easy to work with. The crochet hook is a nice quality metal hook with an enlarged handle for comfortable gripping, too.In fact, this whole kit has such good quality materials in it, I was really impressed! I've purchased crochet kits in the past that had the most awful plastic hooks in them that it completely turned my daughter and I away from wanting to learn crocheting... until we found this great kit! Seriously good quality and definitely enough to learn how to make a little octopus or two, even with some trial and error.
