This NEEWER CPL filter fits perfectly on my VIOFO dashcam and does a great job at reducing glare and enhancing contrast. It’s also cheaper than the OEM VIOFO filter, making it a great budget-friendly alternative without sacrificing quality.

CPL filters are a great way to polarize you dash cam, camera. Polarization helps with more accurate colors, as well as reducing glare in certain scenarios. This particular CPL filter is easy to install, just press it onto the viofo lens, and that's it. The filter fits perfectly on my viofo a229 duo front camera, and the image quality seems to improve in very bright situations.

I didn't like the reflection of my vents on the windshield showing up on my dashcam video, this thing eliminates about 90% of it. Sure, that 10% still shows up a little, especially in bright sunlight, but I'll never run without it again. It also works at night without degrading the image.

This makes a good enough of a difference to recommend it for every dash camera. While it does add a little bit for tint for the night footage, the gain in the daytime makes up for it. Just like your polarized sunglasses, this allows your camera to see things without a glare. High quality CPL filter that comes in a premium case. Very nice product.

I have 2 viofo A229's and both this CPL as well as the official viofo branded one. I don't really notice a big difference between the 2 so pick whichever is more budget friendly at the time. They both slip over the camera's lens nicely with a small dash to show you how to optimally align it. Would highly recommend to anyone with a viofo cam just because of how much clearer it makes the videos look

Good product but price is on the higher side and product on delicate side beside the need to take necessary precautions as it contains coating which can be hazardous to humans when exposed contact for longer time.

I picked this up with my own money just to give it a try compared to the CPL that comes with the VIOFO A229 Pro. I'm using this on the front camera only. When comparing the two side-by-side on a 4K HDR screen, the Neewer seems to bring out more contrast and also reduces reflections of the dash on the windshield. It's cheap and worth the upgrade.

This review is for the cpl filter. Just like all their products from Neewer. Solid built. The threads are properly cut and never gets stuck or rarely crossed threaded. The glass is always good. The actual issue is that this is not an install and forget it type of solution. Yes for sunny days. Perfect to cut through the glare from the hood and windshield. This reduces your exposure about 3 stops. This filter is something you will have to constantly install and remove on a daily basis. When it’s cloudy or night time. This darkens your footage too much and footage is not great. If you have parking mode. You must remove this filter. This is just a general rule or common thing when using filters. Just know this going in. So if you find that your day time footage constantly gets washed out making reading the plate or seeing details problematic due to the shape of your hood or windshield. If you have a bright color reflective hood etc. then this filter will help. The constant wear on the camera by moving it away and unscrewing this tiny filter and reinstalling it at least 2x a day. Readjusting the angle etc. it’s more of a chore.

This is perfect quality and cleae lens. Be sure to rotate the lens to adjust once screwed on. You continue to rotate until you no longer see the glare of the dashboard in the video, will dissapear like magic.

I tested this NEEWER 37mm CPL Filter Here's what I found...Pros ✅ the sizes are as advertised - with a 4mm deep filter ring that is also 2.45mm wide. This is a feature of rotating polariser filters and you need to check that this is not too wide/deep to cause vignetting on your camera.I tested it with a Lumix 14-42 PZ lens on a G-series camera - as this enables me to check the filter qualities before moving it to the car. It worked well without any obvious colour shift, or loss of resolution, and with an easy rotation to bring the polarisation to maximum effect. The effect is good - it takes the shine off wet roads and foliage, darkens blue sky and does improve contrast.Setting the best angle is important in a car - as on my Toyota, there are polarisation patterns in the windscreen that get accentuated by the filter. The filter comes in a good protective travel box - which is ideal if you want it for regular photography when you will be taking it on and off the camera. You also get a nice microfibre lens cleaning cloth.Cons ❌ None for me - as long as it proves durable.OVERALL - I like this - and would be happy to get it again. Delivery was next day.
