I bought thing assuming the centre post was 15mm, it is smaller by several mm. The screw holding the top of the Y to the rod portion is also smaller. The hex key is for tightening the vertical sections, which have a star shaped hex cut out at the end of the rods. That being said, it works well enough as a un-threaded Y-style lens support.

When shooting with professional motion picture cameras, sometimes lenses need to be supported from underneath. Maybe they are big and heavy and you worry about damaging your lens mount, or maybe they just have some movement or “play” in them when you change focus. A solid lens support is good to have in those situations.Last week I was filming with a probe lens for a food commercial. It was about 20 inches long and would move noticeably when turning the focus ring. The Neewer Camera Lens support was exactly the right device to shore up this lens and stop the unwanted movement that was visible in the image.A well-prepared camera person usually arrives on set with solutions to any issues or challenges they may face. Having a lens support bracket in your kit is very useful, and this is a very reasonably priced one. Recommended!

This didn't work for one of my bases due to the rod rail being too close to the lens, but other than that its a very simple product that does a very simple job.

This lens support pairs well with my camera rig. I had a different brand that worked well as long as it was being held or mounted to a tripod but once it was placed on a table or ground the shaft would create an unstable base. The Neewer lens support has an adjustable shaft that will eliminate having a lot of unnecessary shaft hanging from the bottom of the rig. Now when I place my rig on a table or flat surface, I do not have fear that the slightest breeze or bump will send it tumbling. The lens support is very sturdy and all the locking points are very solid unlike some of the cheaper brands I have tried in the past. This allows me to use longer lenses without worrying about added stress on the camera mount and it eliminates the slight play present when using heavier long lenses. This is one of the most versatile lens supports that I have used and is a must have.

Another quality product from Neewer which has become a major player in the photographic accessories market. I own a large number of Neewer photographic products and they have all been built to the highest standards with no compromises - and this lens support is no exception.Made entirely from aluminum (including the tightening-knobs), this lens support works perfectly to add stability to a longer lens when your camera is mounted on 15mm rails.

This is another great accessory by Neewer. The build quality is top notch, the rubberized padding where the lens rests is great and everything is easy to tighten and loosen. The included extensions are useful as well if you need the extra length.

Meaning that it comes with two extension rods that you can attach to achieve the perfect height to support your lens. It's very well built and lighter compared to other lens support. Game changer.

I wasn't sure I needed it to tell the truth, I've been using my rig for the last year and a half without it. But I've always wondered if the very heavy fast zoom has been straining the R5 mount. I use the Canon 28-70mm f/2 zoom which is a very heavy zoom lens and the lens hangs out there without any support. So when I saw this accessory, I ordered it. Now we camera people love every accessory, no matter how trivial if it will improve or save us time. But truthfully, sometimes it is just too much of a hassle to get out and put together for one shoot. This support is NOT like that. You set it up once for your favorite lens, and it can stay there on the rig. Plus, it is wide enough and padded on the support that it does support the fat zoom that I use and does really add support. Not I don't have to worry when I have to whip the rig around to get a shot that the lens is somehow weighing the system down. Lastly, it fit my generic somewhat fussy rails with the easy to use locks. Neewer has made a great product for a dynamite price once again!

When you're using those big heavy lenses on your rig, you need lens support, especially when using a follow focus. Otherwise, that minute flex could cause slippage and a missed shot, or worse, stress on your lens mount that can cause damage over time. This cradle functions just like your hand would to support the long lens and distribute the weight over the length of the rods. As is typical for Neewer, build quality and fit and finish are excellent. It is also adaptable so that it does not protrude beneath the low point of your rig. This is very innovative and sets it apart from the other support brackets. Kudos Neewer.

Unfortunately this didn’t work for my current setup, but I will keep it in my kit for future uses when I may need to rent different lenses for client work, but right out of the box I can tell the build quality is in point. It fits my rails perfectly and it’s nice that it has anti-slip pads on the lens mount itself.

Een stuk betaalder dan de Tilta versie, beiden kun je korter en langer maken door de busjes los te combineren, wat enorm handig is.
