I have another set of these that I use regularly, though this set went much smaller than that one so I thought I would give these a shot.For the most part, they work extremely well at gripping the lens itself. They fill their roll perfectly. With that said, they're overly expensive for what they are. While you get much more variety than the standard lens sizes, most people would be fine with just a basic set from Japan hobby tool store or somewhere, which has slightly less options, but is a fraction of the price. Really, even those can be used for a wide variety of lenses if you're careful, even if they don't fit exactly.

Even for infrequent repairs, it's hard to live without a set of lens rubbers like these. It's a safe, easy way to remove lens elements and parts of camera gear. This set has a wide range of sizes and will cover every use case I can imagine. These rubbers stack instead of store inside each other, so the tower is pretty large. The reason for not rating this product 5 stars is the value proposition compared to competitors and the same item available elsewhere. At the time of review, the item is $42. A staple of professional camera and lens repair, Japan Hobby Tool has a set of lens rubbers for ~$20. The same set of 9 lens rubbers like this can be gotten DFC from websites like our friend Ali with not so Express shipping, for half the price as the Amazon listing. Even if these are great and work wonders, I don't think the value is there in this bracket.

If you're looking to save some money while fixing your Tamron lens, this tool is definitely worth considering. It helped me repair my lens and saved me around $500. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to take the DIY route and save some cash.
