Simple to use, great quality. I use it to support my 40mm Atlas Orion lens which is very heavy. One suggestion I would make to small rig is to put feet on the bottom that can extend or fold up when not in use to help stabilize your rig when it’s sitting on a table.

I built an "All-In-One YouTube Studio" on a light stand. Part of that setup includes an Elgato Prompter (lens mounted). I decided to support the camera and lens with a SmallRig support system. Here are the SmallRig parts:1. DH10 Heavy Duty Tripod Fluid Head2. 5" Quick Release Plate for Manfrotto3. Universal 15mm Rail Support System4. Adjustable Lens Bracket5. Two 15mm x 8" carbon fiber rods SmallRig parts are an industry standard and simply stated, they are high quality, durable, and economical. You can't go wrong with SmallRig parts for your camera needs! Now, I can rest assured that the camera and lens are properly supported when I attach the Elgato Prompter to the camera lens.

I got a M4 to 3/8-16" adapter and took off the Y part and used it to screw on the DZOFilm Catta Ace 35-80mm for a much more robust support. Thus I had a support for the PL to L adapter AND a support for the mid section of the zoom lens. Much more robust support so that the L mount on the Blackmagic Pyxis doesn't wear poorly.

Works great, but when you tighten it up to the desire length, it tends to lean to the left.

I've used this with 70-200mm f.28 EF lenses, and even a small 400mm wide-field telescope on a BM6KPro without issues. Raising/lowering is straightforward, though a fine screw-based height adjustment would be nice on an upgraded model. As it is, it works as needed for the price point, and the "V" of the base holds a wide variety of larger and smaller lenses.

If you're using 15MM rail system for video production, or you're shooting still photos where total stability is a must have, this is a no brainer.Even if you have a shorter lens, this adds additional stability between the body and the lens, and to the rail system, eliminating minute vibrations. For a longer lens, especially sports or wildlife lens this is a must have (again if you're using rails). This adds a lot of stability between the lens and the body, reducing vibration and improving clarity. That's really about it. I wish I had bought these sooner and I've used them on 150-600MM Sigma and even on 35MM Nikkor 1.8 and 50MM Sigma 1.4 Art lens in the field.

Provides the added support to DSLR Telephoto lenses, or big, low light lenses to my 15mm rod based film rig. Well constructed, perfect width, attaches right on without any issues! Great addition to your film rig when using larger lenses!

Had some second thoughts to buying this item based on some feedback i saw. Bought it anyway and was not disappointed. The machine quality of the aluminum is perfect! I use a DSLR on a follow focus rig and sometimes while operating the follow focus I get lens movements. I installed this, used a long strip of Velcro to fasten the lens through the provides mounting holes on either side and now I have absolutely no lens shake.I saw some comments about the mounting plane should be V-shaped. In my opinion how it is is the best. It may be a little too wide for some lens like mine but if you strap it down it is perfect. One addition I did to mine was to add a piece of the loop side of a hook & loop velcro strip to the mounting surface to prevent scratching of the lens.Would highly recommend to anyone who had the lens movement issue I had or just need a good support for your lens.
